I forgot to give the DL on why I removed the side tables from the bedroom to begin with! I originally had my wicker side tables in the main bedroom but I always knew they weren’t going to be a long term solution. I realized it was so silly that we had these BEAUTIFUL side tables with storage in the second bedroom doing nothing, so I moved them but the wicker ones didn’t really work in the dark room. I’m going to use the wicker tables for our outdoor makeover! 💜

You took stodgy beat-up unappealing side tables and turned them into lovely bedside tables. So much work but worth it! While the original hardware wouldn’t have worked on your new version of these tables, they were the best thing about the originals. They’d look good (if you could find the missing piece) on something antique.

I did a paint wash on the stairs which 4 of them were new wood . The wash was beige and warm gray I let them dry then I applied couple different stains to variegate and match the new luxury vinyl flooring. I applied stains with brush then wiped it back with cloth looks great . Maybe next time you need to match up different wood you can try this !

Ideally , nightstands should be at the same height as the top of your mattress. For ease of use and a pleasant aesthetic ( they do not have to match in style).
