Thanks so much for this! I had seen other mug cosies that looked nice but all had buttons on them and I was really wanting to find an idea that didn't require a button to be added, so I'm so grateful to find your video! One tiny addition that I thought might be helpful to others is I thought to do slip stitches along each handle chain, as then it will make the chain a lot more sturdy and less likely to stretch from continued use. :) So quick to make too for us people that are still making belated Christmas gifts! Excellent!!

Slip stitches how? Make them out of slip stitches or slip stitch them after putting it on the mug

Is there a written pattern for this design? I’m new to crocheting and it’s kind of hard for me to remember all that is going on.
If u have a wider cup how many stitches cast on do u recommend? 45? 39 is pulling on material to go over handle? Even standard size cup

I couldn’t find the written pattern on the website in the link in the description. Is there a written pattern.

The written pattern is available on my Etsy shop through this link: www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1630918355/mug-cozy-no-sew-no-button-crochet?click_key=64a354b9ce5732170d2eb71da47f49724f22cc89%3A1630918355&click_sum=208af37a&ref=shop_home_feat_1&sts=1
The pattern doesn't work on a normal size coffee cup. I even increased the cast on Stitches to 45. It's stretching way too much. The pattern won't fit. I tried muilple cups and it won't fit.

I’m sorry to hear this experience - the fact that you’re using the term “cast on” tells me you’re knitting. This is a crochet pattern. Perhaps that’s why you’re having a hard time? This is a standard 11.8oz mug. It’s a regular size mug. Hopefully this info helps you
