I think they needed some more time to mature, or when you see more leaves start turning yellow to brown, I saw it on Google where it says that it takes 8 to 10 months for ginger to fully mature.

To make ginger sprouts just use sand , place ginger in sand and water once , keep it in shade and see the miraculous sprouting , moreover separate the very large pieces into smaller ones as each of them can grow separately to yield much more product. Moreover the ginger here is not ready for harvest, keep a bit longer till leaves start to wilt, thus the ginger can be stored for longer without fungal damage at home

Valuable information brother, Is it necessary to keep ginger into a tunnel or controlled environment? Age to transfer into soil from sand? can we use any fertilizer to replace coir and ash? What are the weather conditions to start its procedure and please mention the total period for maturity? No fertilizer during the period? Temperature requirements for germination and to start sowing in terms of both day & night for example in my country it average temperature remains approx. 22 to 23C in the day and lowers down up to 9 to 10C in the night. What is the average ration of seed to output? Can it be kept in the bag during all the period? Brother I am a ginger grower and approx 75,000 thousand plants are grown and this year I wish to cross 200,000 plants level so watching this technique your matured comment urged me to seek some further knowledge from you and I hope you will educate the same. Thanks & Regards

@@evgpk4513 as for controlled environment use less less warm and humid conditions for storage to avoid fungal infection . Age to transfer to soil depends upon budding of stems from rhizome , you can check it out yourself and roots start to grow in abundant at the same time , before planting you can cut off some roots also its upto you, for fertilizer during rooting you dont need to apply but if you want you can use phosphorus and potash based fertilizer , and use nitrogen based fertilizer around 35 to 40 days interval , you can use NPK and boron also to enhance growth , but go for organic way for cost effectiveness and apply cow dung manure . But no matter what you should avoid water logging and make sure the soil is not very hard , it is best productive when the soil is kept similar when we grow potato, weather condition depend upon region but as you said you have much difference between diurnal and night temperature thus i guess you are from temperate region , ginger is a tropical and sub tropical plant and more productive here as it is temperature loving , but it can also grow well at temperature around 20 to 25 C . But make sure it gets direct sunlight of more than 5 to 6 hours if temperature is below this. Ginger maturity depends upon your usage , around 180+ days you can harvest , but water content is high at that time and you have to sell as soon as possible to avoid fungal damage , best period is around 8 to 9 months and for dry ginger and longevity of ginger you just keep it until the leaves start drying . And if you keep it in bag then more crowding should be avoided , ginger need a gap of around 1 feet from plants for better yield and except 5 to 6 shoots you can cut off the extra shoots during early growth for better rhizome development , hope it is helpful . Moreover somehow i found your comment sarcastic , you may be planting 70k plants but should be open for knowledge no matter where you get it from, channelize water in your gonger field and frontal lobe to avoid watter logging and fungal damage .
