Yes this works perfectly. My mother is using the same technique since last 3 years. However jute sac bags are better than cement bags as there is a possibility of micro plastic absorption into ginger.

Ginger grow even not totally expose in sunlight.. This type of planting we did this in our plce until the sack was destroyed/decayed... The sack will be full already wtih ginger...just recycling cement bag...

What kind of dirt is that your using.. trying to sprout and grow some ginger from store bought..That great the bag idea, and it bring cement it's so hot and humid here plants are burning up. Having to diy a Green house, on my bedroom, in an old wooden toy box..

Wow. I dont think ginger could thrive in cement bag when planted! But wait till the leaves become dry before harvesting so that the ginger become matured enough.
