Great video. When taken care of these trucks last forever. My mother is trading her 2007 5.7L with 275k miles for a 2023…fingers crossed she gets 15 years out of this one.

THANK YOU, JIM! No place else could I find instructions on EXACTLY what to do. I'm trying to replace the ignition coils in my 2007 Tundra 4.7 and I had no idea how to get to the 5, 6 ,7, and 8 coils. Now I know I can remove the secondary injection gizmos without dire consequences. I'm a female of average strength and getting those bolts to come loose in tight spaces is my big challenge. Wish me luck!

I've been having a P0158 code (02 sensor) issue on my very same truck. Come to find out there's also a P0300 code (misfire) along with it. This video should fix both issues. The details on this video is very helpful. I'm usually impatient watching a more than 5-minute tutorials on anything but this video is well-worth it and I'm glad I watched it fm beginning to end. Please make more tutorials including changing break pads, radiator flush, transmission and engine oil change, and other basic maintenance task week-end mechanics like me could use to learn and save money. You have my support. Thank you and God bless.

Are their torque specs on the secondary air injection pump? where it attaches to the block and where it attached to the stationary pipe?

How did you get underneath the secondary air injection valve to remove the 10mm nuts? I can't get back there

My local shop charges $280 to change out the plugs $90 is for the plugs. Have you had any problems with the secondary air injection system? I had mine Gali the 1 st time @137k miles which was replaced under warranty the 2nd time @ 250k miles this time I bypassed the system which is the best thing I have done for the truck
@DIYJIM Жыл бұрын
Never had a problem but I have a 2022 Tundra now just bought about a month ago.

@@DIYJIM consider yourself lucky in the 2007 the air pump is behind the passenger side headlight and the operating valves are what is connected to the valve covers moisture gets inside the pump and/or valves there are a fair amount of KZbin videos on the subject

I bought a 2nd gen Tundra with the 4.7 thinking it was a simple tried and true engine - but damn these motors are littered with evap recirculation emissions BS. You would think as large as the 2nd gens are and as small as the 4.7 is there'd be tons of room to work, but there isnt.

Do you think Toyota used anti seize on the the plugs when they built the engine? Answer: No. The SK20R11 spark plug come with a nickel plate sacrificial coding negating the need for anti seize.
