Nice job, Jim. I added central air several years ago. I didn't make my pad level. I have it tilted away from the house slightly (about 1/2") for water runoff. I'm not sure if that's standard, but it seems to work well for me. PS: We are almost into pellet stove season again. I need to change the exhaust fan and motor (again). Maybe I'll video the process and post it. God bless, my friend!

Great point about making support rods or stakes flush or below form level. Makes place and finish much easier! I admit when I make these slabs I do them on a flat surface not on the site because I like them to cure a few days before I take them to the install location. You would be amazed how many mini-splits people are installing here for garages and even sheds! Using the hammer as a vibrator is always a good tip too! Right you are about animals, I have had more than one duck walk around on my concrete slabs!

Adding AC to my Garage. Mr cool sent it to me to make a install video. I think I will use it more for heat in the winter. So far it seems like a nice AC.
