Thanks for the video. I was able to replace only the paddles as the console was still working, but the plastic piece to depress the ice dispenser switch was broken. That only cost around $55 to replace compared to around $300 for the entire console. The video was extremely helpful for removing the unit. No way anyone figures out how to remove this on their own.

Try inserting the top tabs in first, them press in the others after that.

I have two of this same refrigerator. Both experienced the same ice maker failures, control panel LED's failed, and the insanely cheap water and ice paddles.

I have this exact model, all of the buttons work, but neither pedal works for ice or water. The switch checks out ok with a meter.

If you're still responding... I removed the screw, but I am unable to budge the display at all, despite pulling it down/out extremely hard. My thinnest putty knife doesn't begin to fit between the display and door. Suggestions?

If you don’t have ice in the bucket your room problem might be Icemaker or water valve

@@DIYRepairsNow I have this model and no ice in the bin. I ordered (and replaced) the ice maker and water fills into the ice maker unit, but does not freeze it in to ice cubes. Freezer maintains freezing temp and refrigerator maintains 36deg. Do you know why ice is not being formed (or which part would be needed)?

Makes me wonder. My filter light stopped working a few years ago. I was ok with it since i have a subscription with Samsung so i replace it when it comes in. Then the cube light just went out on me. This video shows the same lights out. Now i have a dishwasher that some of the buttons dont work, had it replaced under waranty and now the same buttons stopped working. Makes me wonder if i should dump $100 for a display only for it to break again? I habe nylon tools that i bought on amazon a year ago. good to use so you don't ding up things with say a screwdriver. Looks pretty easy to take out.
