You should definitely cut the tops of the circles off on the non-gear side so you don't have to try to thread 2 needles over a bed of hot coals. It wouldn't be as aesthetic, but you wouldn't burn your hands trying to add or remove the food.

Very nice! Maybe try lowering the voltage if slower rotation is desired.

Excellente réalisation et contrairement à certains commentaires, je trouve que la vôtre est l’une des plus abouties. La seule question que je me permet de vous poser est de savoir est-ce-que les roues dentées ont étés fabriquées par vous même ou les avez-vous achetés? Et si si c'était le cas d'un achat, j'aimerais savoir où vous les avez achetés et combien sont leurs diamètres intérieur et extérieur, et aussi avez-vous utilisez un variateur de vitesse ou pas et enfin, combien de boîte de chaine ont été nécessaires, merci de votre réponse et bravo, car je voudrais faire comme vous, Pierre depuis Paris

Good idea but I would prefer making it in away the shafts can be released easier by cutting the back part to 3/4 moon so the shafts are easier to pull up

Remove the lower sprockets and run the chain over and under the upper sprockets. Each spit will rotate in opposite directions. Less friction and load on the motor. That's how my hot dog cooker works. As the spits rotate, there will be less interfertence with the food going against the rotation of the adjoining spit. Other than that, it's a really good BBQ rotisseerie.

You brushing your bare hand over the freshly drilled holes gave me the willies. That’s just asking for a steel burr in the hand. Use a brush, brother.
