Oh my gosh! There was a craft product 30 years ago that did this. For the life of me I can’t remember what it was called. But you had to paint it on. It came in very pastel colors. It made the most beautiful flowers ever. It wasn’t around very long because it was very difficult to use. I was so bummed! 😫 I could hug you to pieces because I’m pretty sure this is what it was made of. ❤️❤️❤️Can’t wait to try this.

I sprayed my roses with thin layers of spray paint # thin layers ! till they were stiff then dipped them and they held their shape perfectly . If the petals are soaking wet with spray paint ? They will bend and droop. So thin layers of spray paint till they are stiff.😊

If you add pva glue to the mixture it'll allow the petals to move, without cracking or flaking off! It's great to use with fabric too but I really love how yours turned out ❤️ they are gorgeous!!!🤗💗!

@@maxandsally1 PVA glue is the same as wood glue, white glue, carpenter’s glue, school glue, and Elmer’s glue (in the US).

I stick mine right side up, not up side down. Then I get spoon and spoon the plaster over the roses. It gets all the way down into the roses. It just makes the project look more real. Then after they dry I airbrush them to the color of my choice. You can have long stem roses and after they dry and painted out them in a beautiful vase. You can also do live roses, but they are more expensive. But to get a better diy craft stand the roses in a upright position in a pot of or Styrofoam and spoon the plaster on top and it will drain the dry. They are stunning. Thats just the way I do mine. Wish I knew how to send a pic. Best of Luck. Be Kind to One.Another

Hi Bellary, I did not get this video, my question... where do you get your flowers. I am looking for flowers in bulk and I am in no luck getting good ones online. Your work is outstanding. Love
@diywithbellary4 жыл бұрын
Hi dear, the video is about how to turn the regular fake flowers into hard plaster flowers there nothing else much to it. I was showing the right way to do it as some people do not mix the plaster the right way and their flower ends up not taking the plaster and the project ends up failing. I got my flowers at Joann and sometimes you can find coupons for that store. You can also use Joann online to order your flowers. 😊😊😊 and Thank you so much for taking time to watch!

Hi Dear, I use Plaster of Paris.

Hello i wana know why my plater flower broke fast
@diywithbellary4 жыл бұрын
Hi, It might be because you didn't coat is enough. For example, if your mixture is on the runny side I would suggest coating your flower at least 3 times, and if it's thicker than you have to coat it 2 times and remember you have to let it dry completely before each coat. If you do this then your flowers will not break unless you smash it on the floor emphasis on SMASH 😀. I hope that answered your question.

I think it’s almost easier just to make them with clay and up on you don’t have to keep dipping and you know you’re really made it

One: take a breath once in a while. Non-stop machine gun rabbiting is very tiresome. Two: don't tell people 'use flowers'. Tell them to do what you're doing, which is using plastic flowers. Not the same, and the results are not the same.
@diywithbellary2 жыл бұрын
One: thanks for your advice, but there is a way to talk to people and not sound like an egotistical jerk. Two : I am pretty sure that I said to use plastic flowers which is the whole point of the video, no one is going to think they need to get real flowers for this DIY. Thanks 👍
