Tried making this but it keeps getting smaller no matter how much I expand the waist band (bcos of the decrease). Any idea on wat to do?

Sorry about that. When making the piece, you have to only consider your hip-butt measurement, your waist should stretch to your hip measurement then after you put a string through the waist stitch to make it tighter

U mean I should use the hip-butt measurement as the waist measurement Nd the decrease will make the waist equal to the rest of the skirt right? If I’m getting u right

Just make sure to check if your yarn is stretchy or not. And if it is stretchy then make sure to deduct a few inches off your hip measurement but then keep in mind that it should stretch to your hip measurement when stretched
