Great video, good to finally see some videos on the tks 80. The only thing that may be a negative is that there isn't a T slot in the table for jigs, have you noticed this to be an issue?

Nice review! I really like your take on things and agree with the overall video, but especially with your words of caution in the outro. Respect for that man. One point of note, adjusting the riving knife is super simple - remove the black insert, then flip the green lever to release the riving knife. You'll be able to see then very clearly where you can adjust the riving knife/crown guard assembly from side to side. Put the riving knife back in place now you know what to turn to change the alignment, then adjust it with a spanner to centre it behind the sawblade. It's a great design, as you can easily adjust it to suit different width blades, and worth doing to save that minor distraction while using the saw. Have to say, I've been really impressed with the TKS 80. It's a better saw than I'd imagined it would be in pretty much every way.

You need to adjust the side table. Then it slides normally

Agreed. Takes a little care but once the side table is fully adjusted (including the inset grub screws in the top left of the surface) and the fence scale/ruler, you can remove and refit the table and it'll set up accurate and true. 18 months in with my own TKS 80 at this stage, having replaced a fantastic Wadkin cabinet saw with it to get SawStop tech here in Europe. They're not the same standard of machine by any stretch, but the TKS 80 is capable of absolutely accurate work with a little care in setup and thought in use.

Hello. I know that Festool took the technology from SawStop. Why didn't you buy a saw from Sawstop but got from Festool?
