Dave your my fav.in teaching a game. I've gotten Sagrada , dizzle, & bloom. I don't have anyone to play regularly with so these games " solo" is great. If you have anymore let me know.😁

This looks like a fun one to try out some time - especially w/ the variable boards you can play on. I really get a kick out of the various references Dave & the others drop in over the course of the game. I definitely heard some Monty Python this time, and maybe even one from PDQ Bach?

Correct me if I'm wrong but it was my understanding from the rules that the START player is the only one able to have 4 dice on their card(Max) when it's their turn as the START PLAYER. If they elect to not take the final die or choose to not reroll it in order to try and get what they need/want then that's the end of selecting for everyone because the ones that aren't the START player only get 3. I own the french version of this game. I picked it up last week(I've played it about a couple dozen times now and on each of the 4 lvls) and absolutely love it. If I am correct then the max that any one player can have each round in a 4p game is 13 not 12(4 Start player and 3 each non start player).

The rules on BGG don't say that.

Cool game, but I don’t see myself playing this over Sagrada.

Came into the comments to say exactly that, or Roll Player. Sagrada has more mechanically and looks better.

Funny that, I have looking at dice drafting games since my mother fell in love with sagrada. Looking for a bit of variety rather just playing the same game every day. There are not many casual dice drafting games.

Also the rulebook says: After a player has rolled the dice, they mark this on their game sheet by by ticking off round 1. A round is over once all players take their turns, as shown by the rounds being marked on their game sheet. Beginning with the starting player, turns proceed clockwise giving each player a chance to take and place a die. The next time it is a player’s turn, they tick off round 2, etc. Which is much better than everyone doing it after a complete round. Means you always know who's rolling the dice first etc. And for me, the people moving the dice around to sort them I would find frustrating, mainly because the risk of dice being knocked is quite high. Better I think just to leave them as is.

Did Dave count his gems correctly? It seems that 6 points is wrong, cause he ahs got crossed out 6 gems - so he should have 18?

Was anyone else distracted by how terrible the markers provided were?! I’d rather games not come with dry markers or golf pencils, and use what I already own!!! But otherwise this looks like it takes a little luck, as always with dice, and a lot of planning.

From looking at the completed sheet, it appears that none of you can actually add up! All 4 declared scores are incorrect[insert eye roll emoji]
