When I listen to Dizzy, it feels like I'm listening to spoken word. His verses are not measured down to each syllable, they are just written with a rhyme ending and connecting long sentences, and his flow is more about emphasizing certain words like an actor would, and not focusing on the line as a metronomic flow. Interesting and expressive style, something that hasn't really been heard before.

brandon payne that's true mate.
@violentsheeple50459 жыл бұрын
JgidHQ Instead of being an angry child you should maybe give a listen to what I just said. I say as a white person because what we often get (us, as whites) from black people in mainstream media and popular hip-hop is an image of violence, drugs and crimes I'm saying its nice to see someone from your community acknowledge the negative cycle that some black people are promoting. I'm not black and I will never know what it is to be but I sure as hell can tell you that artists like this are helping the image of black people. So hate on me if you want for actually liking some hip-hop artists for having integrity. Btw I'm 28, I'm not one of your kid friend. Calm down. I have all the rights to talk about hip-hop. You on the other hand have no right to tell to people if they can or cannot listen to a type of music based on their skin color. Gj on sounding like a racist dictator mate. I'm not one of these people who market hip-hop. Don't generalize. You're really an ignorant here. Grow up.
@DEADPRYNTZ9 жыл бұрын
Violent Sheeple Kid, I didn't say you couldn't listen to it, I said we don't need to hear your bs. You came here and bashed hip hop, it's your own fault that all your ignorant mind can discover are dumbass rappers that have no substance, not ours. You guys control what goes mainstream and you know it, so don't come at us for that. There are plenty of positive raps, but you don't assist or market those.. Funny you call me a racist in my own domain, yet have a stereotype as a picture. As a 28 year old white male, yes, tell me a colored 18 year old about racism... K
@violentsheeple50459 жыл бұрын
Dude are you fucking kidding me ? You are straight up associating me with PEOPLE WHO MARKET HIP HOP without even knowing what the fuck I do for a living. I have absolutely no impact on that at all, good job on being ignorant. I do not consume (cd's, shows, etc) in any way shape or form to that kind of hip-hop. I listen to a lot of great positive beats, me saying that the media mainly show negative stereotypes of black people doesn't me that I DO NOT KNOW BETTER. Its funny because I can feel anger and ignorance in your words. I know I'm right and you're wrong, but you're not going to admit it for sure. So think whatever you want mate. At the end of the day I was just here to say how much I appreciate the message here. Good job for turning this into some negative bullshit. I hope you grow up one day and stop blaming others for your ills.

I like the song, but I hate the line, "we can't keep screaming racism if we killing our own race". The idea that black people can't discuss/should tolerate racism because of what other black people may or may not be doing is a bit ridiculous. I get the message overall and I know Dizzy means well but the delivery could've been better (just my opinion). We should condemn the violence AND racism! Still a great album overall though!

***** I think that people have to say things strongly like that in order to create the dialogue at all.
@thatdude60049 жыл бұрын
But its the truth. Its as simple as going on worldstarhiphop.com and seeing all these young people beating the living shit out of each other, kids being bullied and yet noone is helping each other. Women have become subjected to simply being a peice of meat, simply bitches by raps standards. The whole false reality of this so called thug life is ridiculous and all these innocent minds grow up with this image and try to follow. Gangs and violence will always exist if the music and media continue to push these stereotypes. Girls will grow up twerking instead of working. Its just the truth. The black community has been making themselves look bad for soo many years. Yes the cop shootings are unjust and unfair but with that aside you need to look at the deeper issue within the community. Our kids need to be raised properly and not brainwashed by all this thuggery bullshit. not being racist its simply the truth.
@ny4lyfe199 жыл бұрын
I agree with you to an extent. I think it's more directed to the black people who are committing the crimes, and helping to destroy the community and then want to complain about these issues. Also there's a lot of racism in the black community. I hear more epithets and prejudice statements about other races comes from black mouths than I do any other.
@Potheadmcgee149 жыл бұрын
He's stating that he finds it hypocritical that a brother you didn't know died for no reason and you get up in arms and go apeshit cause the police did it, but a lot of young brothers out here be killing people they don't know doing the same thing, but justifying it cause it's not "racism"
@timoekhart21489 жыл бұрын
***** please dude, if there is one race which is able to discuss racism it´s black people. Dizzy tells the black community to look at their own mistakes first, that´s all. The reason why racism is such a big problem in America also derives from the fact that the black community is stuck in its ways, and sees racism as the main cause for this, which is not true in many cases.

I think it's clear to all of us here that this video portray's a very powerful message about where the industry has headed over the years and also many artists which display an obviously wrong role image to look up to not only for the youth but everyone in general and what being "successful" is "supposed" to be like and having all kinds of power and guns and hoes and money that it's overlooked at how their lives are really like outside of the camera shoots and etc, etc. Of course it's fake and it's a shame how they are portraying this image in which many people look up to and wish to attain. Its rappers like Dizzy Wright that bring actual reality to thought and make you think, "Yeah that looks fun and all, but this is how it really is" which I've always admired about his style. Another great release, keep it up Dizzy.
