Would argue the real achievement, made possible by a lot of subtle sequencing and augmentations, is that it stays matched for hooky gratification when the Sledgehammer chorus would otherwise feel “missing” in lesser mashups, and keeps building in harmonious complexity by the point you notice the chorus wasn’t ever gonna come in.

Broooo I would have NEVER noticed that if you hadn't pointed it out 😂😲 That's amazing I also love the part at 0:55 where she says "You know you a star, you can touch the sky," then it cuts to his face painted over by a blue sky (which I think was at the part where he says "You could have an aeroplane flying if you bring your blue sky back") Which in retrospect is kind of hilarious because Aardman Animation, who made classics like Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit, provided the visual effects for that music video, and that same studio would later inspire another group of artists to found Blue Sky Animation, who made Robots and Ice Age!
