Sorry about the audio folks, it sounded a lot better during the editing process. New camera woes. I will make sure the audio is much better for the next video..... Which air tomorrow.

great review, i think the best DJ solution are now LD systems : MAUI 28 G2, MAUI 44 G2, and the new DAVE 18 G4X for big bass event. But will be an MAUI 28/44 G3/G4 in 2023 ?

Obviously a big move up from the Harbinger MLS 1000. Big price ticket on these but the Maui 44's are made of wood. The Maui 28 G3's look solid as well at a much lower price. A pair of 44s or a pair of 28 G3s should handle most wedding crowds for sure.

@@mikehorvatits7394 that night I was running them master/slave. Reason being, there was a HUGE quinceanera next door & they were using wireless DMX and it kept interfering with my wireless DMX, so I had to hard wire DMX them master/slave and just use the remote all night. I use AI Light Show now.

I'm going to do a few more events with them before I give a full in-depth review. This was the first event, but I can say for sure that I was blown away at how hard they hit. There are a few instances in the video where you can see the bases actually shaking my entire DJ booth making the video vibrate.
@alpinetrader2 жыл бұрын
@@djtravismcguire yup. Behind the dj booth they were very loud. Did you have any feedback issues with them by any chance? I did a bit in begining
@djtravismcguire2 жыл бұрын
@@alpinetrader I did during the initial sound test but it was only because I had the gain on the mics too high. Once that was adjusted I could talk directly in front of the speakers without any issues. I will say this, there is a noticeable difference of loudness behind the speaker's compared to the 28 G2's. It always felt like the Maui 28 G2's were right in your ear where the 44 G2's, it was a little bit more subdued from the rear of them.
@alpinetrader2 жыл бұрын
@@djtravismcguire I meant the bass. It was very loud by me so I kept lowering them on dance floor didn’t seem that loud so I would crank back up haha but yeah I love the system just not sure yet. I have used my friends. I’ll see if I can use them one more time next week before I decide
@djtravismcguire2 жыл бұрын
@@alpinetrader oh yes. The base was definitely hitting heavy from all sides. In fact one of the other things to add to my bad day was the fact that Virtual DJ decided halfway through dinner to activate stems for the instrumental on channel 2 and it took me 45 minutes to figure out why it sounded like it was muffled. The whole day was just bizarre. I'm shooting the part 2 this gig log today to explain literally every single thing that went wrong behind the scenes.

Have watched a few of your vids, especially since you introduced the Maui 44 G2. I'm English but live in Germany. I DJayed for six years over here. Took me some time to get used to German taste in music, got there in the end. Listening to your play list, it's very apparent the difference in musical taste in different countries. What obviously works well for you over in the States, would die a thousand deaths over here. Would be good to see some of you doing your stuff and not so much of the guests.

100% Whats hot over there?
@robertw.1499 Жыл бұрын
It's really a mix of commercial pop, some rock, the Germans love their golden oldies. They also have a music direction here called Schlager. Very popular with many, especially the over 30s. They also go for the 70s, 80s and 90s. The stuff I played was weddings, birthdays, anniversaries etc, mixed age groups so House and Trance went down well too, especially the older stuff like Sandstorm and Insomnia 👍 @@djtravismcguire

Very nice, Clean pro setup, What can you say about the Maui 44 G2 system, do you get any distortion when you crank up system at a good level? I've seen many Dj's rollin with the Maui's. my only thing is that i roll with the JBL SRX 800 series, just wondering if the Maui sound anywhere near or better, I know the size and weight is a game changer, specially at 1 am, can you give a bit of feed back on your experience with your Maui system.
@jonathanberube50562 жыл бұрын
I actually the have Srx815p over Srx818Sp subs as well as Maui 44G2’s and can honestly say I pretty much always choose the Maui’s. The Srx’s will get louder and have deeper bass(maybe 10% difference) I do mostly high energy weddings with 200 or less guests and the Maui’s are more than enough, easy to setup and look much more modern and visually pleasing.

I love the 44s. When I have to set up on a stage with my 44s, I always try to put the speakers on the ground & angle them out some. Great video & the mixing was very inventive & on point.

I wanted too as well, but I knew this crowd was heavy drinking, and I didn't want my brand new speakers on the dance floor. The venue placed the stage at the very edge, and I wasn't risking it. LOL

What was wrong with the PA system? Columnar speakers are always the limit... You want to get a nice, punchy bass, but if you do it wrong, your speakers can go to hell.

Db technologies es1203 cost 1100 euro including bags. Dual 12 sub semi horn loaded 3 channel amplifier you can split the tops for stereo sound. 132 db
@djtravismcguire2 жыл бұрын
Yes, but here in the states that system is $2700 and requires poles, tripods, & manually connecting the tops to the sub using a cable, which to me, defeats the purpose of having a column system. It's why I choose the Maui 44 G2's over the RCF Evox 12's. I can setup both of my Maui 44 G2's in less than 30 seconds.
