Live Kenny he is such a fantastic guitar player but so nice and down to earth. Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives have to be the best band around. Every member is a genius.

I set up a Kenny Vaughan Acoustic page for all my acoustic guitar songs and got lots of likes, turns out they all thought I was this legendary Kenny Vaughan and not me. Blessed to share the name with such a humble hero!

All of the Fabulous Superlatives are musical geniuses so it is very touching to hear Kenny praise Chris Scruggs' multi-instrumentalist skills and talent like that. I love that Kenny V is still such a music fan, as well as an awesome guitarist, songwriter and singer!

I would probably enjoy listening to Kenny Vaughan talk about mowing his lawn - such a cool guy, with tons of great experiences and(importantly) an understated flare for bringing them to life.

What a great interview. So informative and interesting, especially when you know how Kenny can play. Hayley did well to recognise when to not interrupt the flow, unlike a lot of other interviewers.
@drutgat27 ай бұрын
Thanks. That was a great interview - so many interviewers do not listen, and they interrupt, but you, Hayley, were great, and you used what Kenney said in answer to some questions to inform your other questions. Also Kenney is a wonderful interview subject, as well as being a great guitarist.

Another great interview with Mr. Vaughan. Great to hear the story about Chris Scruggs. He is so talented. I was so lucky to hear Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives playing the 50th Sweetheart of the Rodeo tour.

Kenny was very generous and forthcoming, especially when the interviewer couldn't bounce off his comments that great.

Great interview and great guitarist. It rang a bell with me when he talked about learning faster by playing with older more experienced musicians. That's certainly true. Your always on your toes and not getting held back by bad slow learners.

I bumped into Kenny at a Colorado State Park the other day. A very humble nice man! He had a Martin D-41 with him and I am so thankful that I didn't ask him if I could play it!

I've loved this guy for years. One of the biggest underrated country pickers in the industry as far as I'm concerned. And that's just one of his many talents. He's so damn kewl

Coming late to the party, but I'm always glad to find a KV interview I haven't seen. I loved the way he explained some of his musical references. I'm just a few years older than Kenny myself and all the musicians and singers he mentioned were ones in my life as well. But I also like it when he references something I'm not familiar with or have largely forgotten. I pause the video and go look it up on KZbin. He's definitely turned me on to some people I would not otherwise have paid attention to. Lovely interview.

Love Kenny , he is so special and to play with Marty for so long , must be great and so happy that Marty won a well deserved awards. This band is the real deal and was Bakersfield sound way before Dwight. This band is so good and love them like the Hacienda Brothers , another band that never get it's rewards for their Texas sound country music..

Thanks to 'WLRA' and DJ Hayley for having 'Kenny Vaughan' on. Great job Hayley! Kenny is such a cool laid back guy and one of the most solid guitar players in Nashville. I really enjoyed hearing his stories. I didn't have a clue his dad was friends with the famous jazz great 'Johnny Smith' and as such Kenny knew him too! I hope to meet Kenny now that I live near Nashville.

It’s funny , Kenny is talking about Merle Haggard & I was first turned on to Kenny when I went to see Merle Haggard & Marty Stuart’s Band was playing with him. Kenny really stood out that night & Ive been a fan of his since.

Kenny V is a goldmine of music history and a great player. A note for the interviewer, suggestion: put a foam glove over your mic to cut the sharper edge off your voice. (Some of us have had to do that playing in bands)

First saw Kenny in concert with The Sweethearts of the Rodeo in late July 1987 at the Washington County Fair in Hillsboro, Oregon. I went to the autograph table after the show and asked Janis and Kristine where they found that great picker with the Buddy Holly glasses. They laughed and said, "We stole him from Denver, Colorado!"
