Logic started out as a software sequencer first, it wasn't close to the Logic that it was even ten years later. You’re cooked….Khaled has had the hottest song of the summer more times than I could count. He may not be a performance artist, but he surely has a lot to do with production. From choosing the artist and features. To selecting the beat. Right down to deciding the overall topic of the song and sometimes even the theme for the visuals. Just because you personally don’t see it doesn’t mean its not taking place. Dude started off as a radio DJ and has become one of the most successful and celebrated producers of our time.

@@joe4171 It’s more of a half joke. I’m not saying he’s completely talentless but plenty of people in the industry do what he does but they play the background like they should and you won’t see their name on the song. He’s gathered some good producers and artists to make hits, and that’s his talent which I appreciate, but then he is the annoying voice doing dumb adlibs that add negative value, inserting himself in every song and video he can. He’s like Diddy but worse. Well, not in that way but I mean the shiny suit adlib “can’t stop, won’t stop” days. But he got that money so that formula worked for him

Music producer is like a director of a film. He chooses who is going to star in the film (the rapper,) chooses any supporting roles needed (hook/features,) decides who is going to write the score (the beat maker,) hires the film crew (recording engineer,) and decides the material of the film working with a script writer (content of the song.) Most importantly they ensure all aspects of the film/song work together harmoniously.

Reading between the lines, the man's actually mad about how easily accessible music production is. He's mad that it's spawning a lot more producers, which in turn creates more competition for people like him

It's not as simple or easy as it may seem. Once you figure it out it's one of the best feelings ever when you get compliments for your achievements especially when it comes from the people you idolize
