In spite of the name , Deoxit "Fader" F100 and F5 are intended for all moving parts, so that includes faders, pots and switches. D5 / D100 is really a contact cleaner, so it's less lubricating.

I always wanted this mixer. I had the thin jawn that was gray and white with the kill switches. Upgraded to the 20$ fader.

I had a 626-PRO too and it had the red paint on it saying "626". That thing WAS a beast. I've played many gigs with that thing back before I had the money to get a Vestax...

Great video but please give us one on cleaning and conditioning the contacts on a turntable tonearm, you know where the headshell connects. Thanks in advance.
@RealDJblaze5 жыл бұрын
I used to just get a q-tip and put some rubbing alcohol on it and rub down the connections. That always seemed to work for me, but I'm sure DeoxIT has a spray that is better suited for that... Check their website.

My portablist omni fader is crackly when I turn the volume fader is over half volume. Will tue f100 fix it or should I get the f5 contact cleaner? It's already smooth.

Hello, I have a DDJ 400 and some rotary pots dont move smooth. It means that they kind of scratching when I move them from 12 to 11 o'clock, like sand is stuck inbetween or something. All at the same position. I removed the knob and there is no dirt or dust, so it seems that the ptoblem is within the pots. I read a lot about deoxit but im scared of using them because it deoxicateds the lubricate or grease as Well. I dont want my pots to move freely and loose
@kareem_the_dream2 жыл бұрын
It will not make it "more-loose" than it already is from the factory. It will only return it to its former glory. If it feels like that all the time, then that's just the way they are. I think they might just be cheap pots for the DDJ-400, but you can give it a try!
@MrFreshniKo2 жыл бұрын
@@kareem_the_dream thanks for your answer. I read everywhere that for example the F5 cleans all the dirt and dust but also eliminates all the grease that is in the pots and I don't want that. The f100 should be only a lubricant right? My pots work just fine, but it's kind of annoying that the feeling is like this when turning. Should I use the f100 or d100?
@kareem_the_dream2 жыл бұрын
@@MrFreshniKo Yes, that is correct. It will feel much smoother and uniform and not add any grease to the equation.

How do you restore the white gain line that are faded
@kareem_the_dream Жыл бұрын
You can try to clean them off first and if they still aren't good, then you can repaint them.

@@brandencreado5463 That's strange. It should just work a little bit in that case. If it doesn't work at all then something is really wrong. Maybe try to use the F5 spray in there but that is used mostly to lube it up.
