We all can relate to that in some way or another. and I would admit, I did cringe at that moment in this interview too because of an awkward family situation I’m going through now. This is a DOPE interview!!! I remember seeing our brother DJ Quik perform at the Omni in Atlanta, Ga; during a Jack the Rapper week @1992.....and I remember all the young honies knew the lyrics to all the songs!! I went back to NY and bought his album, which was his first one. He was and still is super amazing!! And to hear him big up our brother Easy E.....Easy was a GREAT, and SUPER KOOL DUDE!!! I miss that brother. Quik also inspired me to keep playing the live instruments in my productions. Props to DJ Quik!!!

Obviously y’all have never seen a DJ Quik interview. A lot of producers are introverts (I.e. Dr Dre and others). I’m from Long Beach and my peoples is from Death Row. Everyone including Jewell and a few DR affiliates were there. Quik had no problems with Biggie or Bad Boy for that matter. Quik and others had nothing to do with the murder of Biggie. Now Suge, that’s another story. Also, along with the set claiming, Quik had to join a gang out of survival in Compton. Im from the Eastside of Long Beach so I get it.A lot of y’all have never lived and can only speculate. Shouts out to Quik
