What has people convinced that this was the downfall? Shale has a worse career record with the Jets than Adam Gase with SIGNIFICANTLY more talent. Shale was a shit coach and this team AT BEST would have 5 wins and maybe would have given up 30 instead of 40 last Sunday. Woody is only getting shit because he did it on his own because he thought he was a cowboy. Notice that after Woody called for Rogers to be benched, he cleaned out the GM and coach and Rogers is STILL PLAYING and other than the coach and GM the coaching staff is identical to what it was before. The team is no better or worse than it was with Shale because the entire franchise is rotted from the inside out.

I know Douglas didn’t have a winning record but it seemed like things were building to something great this year. The team was stacked w talent. It feels like everything negative can be traced back to when woody started to mess with Douglas’ decisions. From Bryce huff to Jeudy to firing Salah mid season. and everything in between. Team isn’t cursed, it just got what it deserved. No reason to internalize this team’s incompetence. Root for Sam and we will see if the Jets deserve our loyalty based on their decisions this offseason.

The team upgraded 4 out of 5 positions on the oline and added an elite wr mid season, so they upgraded 6 out of 11 positions on offense from last yr when the team went 7-10. Bottom line, the garbage production seems to be the result of piss poor coaching, which is both good and bad news since a rebuild is probably not in order but the probability of getting a quality coach w this idiotic clown of an owner seems insanely low.

Turning point for this team was those damn Greg Zuerline missed kicks. Whole different story at 4-2, instead we get players pointing fingers, morale down, coaches getting fired, team is disengaged, every aspect of the team losing a grip on the season. I grew up a jets fan. I have seen my share of losing. The other nails in the coffin for me were Rich Kotite, and Adam Gase. So I walked away. I started following Seattle because I always loved Pete Carroll, and never thought he got a fair shake with the jets, but my interest in the NFL waned. I am still not the biggest football fan. (I love Hockey) Then I found Ryan's channel right before the Jets brought in Rodgers. (Who I liked in Green Bay) I truly enjoy your content, and by extension Matt, and Greenbean. So I started to follow the draft, and kept an eye on how things were going. Your enthusiasm was energizing... but the level of disorganization with this franchise is beyond fixing. The owner sucks, the culture is nonexistent, and I do not blame anyone who is half decent wanting out. In fact, I would love to see some of these guys on other teams, and see how they would fair. Imagine Breece in Cincy with Joe and Chase! Sauce in Detroit to help on the back end. Dare I say it, but what would Garrett look like with Allen up in Buffalo? Lastly... Arron is done. So please stop saying he is going to end up in San Fan and win it all with Shanny.

I don't think reed is a lose. Everyone says he is a good cornerback but my reality is a undersized corner always getting beat and always holding or out of position. I would prefer a long corner that tackles. By reed and taking your holding and penalties with you. The jets primary decline was terrible Defensive Tackle play, there line is undersized and soft, they have one lineman Quinnen Williams.

Defense was not nearly the same this year from a personnel perspective nor from a performance perspective. Blown late leads, low turnovers and sacks. just a completely different defense. I want to give extensions to Garrett, Breece, Alijah, and Sauce. I think it’s important to identify and maintain a good core for a young QB to work with. I definitely want dump Rodgers in the worst way and I don’t care if Adams wants to join him out the door. Bottomline is these cancers with bad attitudes need to go. We need to trade for our future QB but I don’t think we have the draft capital for it and I would hate having to trade any of the core to get it. Maybe Breece since we have depth at his position but I want to keep the rest.
