probably my favorite demo you've done for TSP...and you barely used many DVS features. Most of that was straight stratching and beat juggling. EXCELLENT ending song!

3:35... That's where real djing lives, it's about enjoying the music I love to scratch and juggle and I play ALL the DMC finals constantly, my girl hates that stuff only true hip hop heads even understand the first 3:35 Thanks Shifter for putting us all down!

A teen can definitely do this. I started DJing when I was 13, and started battling when I was 15. Just practice alone in a room for a while. When you start to improve, invite others into the room for further progress.

For the portable side of the spectrum, I like the FaderFox series and the Korg Nano Series. The Allen and Heath controllers are a little bigger, but very cool. Maschine is also fresh to death.

yes as long as they are mp3 format they should work. some programs allow other file types but just to be safe make sure they are in mp3 format
@deejayshiftee
@deejayshiftee 15 жыл бұрын
Plug it in before you open the program. Make sure it is active in your preferences after the program is open. You might have to "add a generic midi" controller. Then start mapping from there. Pick a function, click "learn", then hit the button you want to control the function you are assigning. I don't really use traktor dj studio 3, just scratch pro, so I'm not sure about the interface, but the above should help.

Hi dude! You are a master! WOW! Congrats! I'm writing from Brazil and I have just bought my M5Gs. Currently I'm trying to find a Tracktor Scratch Pro and I would like to know which Ortofon Cartridge do you recomend for me? Is the DIGITRACK a good choice? I'm going to use my equipments firstly to mix songs, especially flash backs and I will start to learn some performace as you did. Thanks for your attention man! See you!

hey there i just started using traktor scratch pro. I was wondering if your bpm counter jumps a round a little bit, mine does. Only slightly. But I mix electro and i like to do live mashups so those slight incriments add up over a couple of seconds

that was pretty effin awesome! Im saving up for traktor scratch pro but im not a turntablist; im more of a club dj, use beatmatching n' such. would you say traktor is honestly worth the 500 dollars?? the main reason im looking into buying it is the organization of all my music in 1 folder and easily found rather than looking thru a huge folder. help me out? tell me your opinion! =D serato or traktor? worth 500 buks?

Sir Shiftee, you b the shiznitz! I just want to say you have thrilled me! I have, within the last 2-3 years gotten my TT setup together.... basically, everything you're using here!! It's comforting to see you praise Traktor - you use it well! Shift, I have a large MP3 collection (plus an increasing amount of my own material mixed down to MP3). Is there a half-#ss way to get them all formatted with BPMs at least? I know you would have to set you CPs manually, but... PEACE OUT, FUNKY FRESHHHHHH!!

hey shiftee i got a question, do you think someone whos 25 years old that stared djing kinda of late but knew he wanted to do this along time ago just never had the money could ever turn pro. i work construction got a family and all dj gear is expensive, right now cant even afford traktor, which i wish i had. But what do you think about starting late and do you know anyone who started around my age and made it big. Would love feedback, thank you.

@Robot0Ninja yeah im on a money constraint and serato is about an extra 100 or 200. but you didnt say whichone i should buy i think you left it out by accident. lol "buy since you spin instead of scratch". buy what? lol. im guessing you said serato though. and yeah ive seen the qbert video but im planning on connecting my cdj 400s to traktor and also cuz it has 4 players and im really into tech house & minimal so 4 players would be awesome esp. with the perfect loop settings dont u think?

Hello Dj Shiftee, I am a electronic music dj/producer and new at using Maschine/Traktor/Kontrol x1 together. Could you please post a step by step video on how to eliminate midi glitches, when using Maschine and kontrol 1 together? And how you created your macros and 3rd deck assignments to both hardware controllers? Thanks so much!!

Do you know if I can use just one of the time-coded disks without the traktor software running but use the interface as a midi controller for Reaktor 5? Traktor opens up some pretty awesome doors, but I try to keep everything in reaktor>outboard mixer. I'm not a dj, per se, I prefer synths,

@HouseJunk1e it has beat matching technology in the software. same with serato. buy since u spin instead of scratch i would go with serato because songs are lined up next to eachother vertically. but if u scratch traktor has more of a vinyl sound as is a little more acurate in tracking. but if u dont wanna spend 500 go with torq, its good for spinning too. hope this helps. p.s. dj qbert has a comparison video of traktor scratch pro and serato scratch live, check it out
