I very much enjoyed this interview. Thank you. Also the interviewer is great I really enjoy his interview style. Imo, he is quite talented. May God Bless these men and their families. May God Bless everyone at GBRS. May God Bless America.

I joined the Navy at 17 also. I was a naval aircrewman and rescue swimmer. I would do it all over again. It's hard to believe you have that much responsibility at such a young age,

A little Kevin Holland designed Winklers in the background I see. My most treasured piece from that time for sure.

Growing up in Coronado, I knew a few kids who followed in their dad’s foot steps and became SEALs. Damm what a lot of added pressure to pass knowing your family name is on the line.

Ditto, DJ. I went through school, hating it. Struggling. Forced my way to get a degree. Painful. I learned in my late 20's that I have been suffering from inattentive ADHD my whole life. The light bulb came on and it all made sense. When I learned that, it was like a huge weight was lifted. All those questions I had about why I had to try so hard when others tried very little were answered.

That’s the thing that people don’t realize about Naval Special Warfare, they say the attrition rate is 60%. That number is AFTER you’ve passed the screen and gone to BUD/S. That number doesn’t include the 50-80+ dudes who got up every morning and went to the dive motivator and DID NOT pass the screen test. If those numbers were included, the attrition rate for SEALs would be close to 95%, but if you tell a kid that, they probably won’t even attempt it. It’s bad for recruiting to be truthful, lol.

I was an ADD, Ritalin kid. Lasted a year my mom removed me off of it. She said it made me seem void. I was like a zombie. So she just dealt with my pain in the ass just being a boy with add. lol thanks, momma.

Hey guys, this isn't a promo for the new M7 but last month over at Classic Firearms that model you fellas shot wasn't what SIG had in mind for Assaulters and needful high speed portability requirements in field. Ever heard of the SIG Spear Shorty ? Not to be confused with the SIG Spear LT... Mike over at Guarand Thumb knows about it and created a whole video on how useful it turned out to be. Maybe GBRS should give it another pass ? Let's keep the good times rollin fellas !

I could see a 6Arc being a solid patrol rifle for LE and military. Recoil is minimumal so getting back on target is not a issue and the energy it still produces at 1000 yards is substantial. 💪🏽💪🏽

It’s probably better that you weren’t on Ritalin. I’m still dealing with the negative effects of that bullshit to this day, 30+ years later. Ritalin was an easy button for the adults. You dodged a bullet (so to speak). I was the same as you, and that shit had a pretty severe negative mental and physical impact on me and a bunch of other people.

Me two man. I can really resonate with DJ on this one. I dropped out of school too cause I hated it and still do to this day. Kudos to those who do and to those who excell at school. Tell me man what kind of negative effects are you experiencing today because of Retalin? I was on it too for like 3 years.

To: DJ Shipley “HEAVENLY FATHER, thank you for all you do for us seen and unseen, heard and unheard. If You haven’t done so already, supernaturally heal DJ from his past combat experiences mentally, spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, intellectually and physically. Every atom of his being, supernaturally heal him and most importantly, let him experience Your Love. Because without Your Love, everything is meaningless. In Your Name JESUS. Amen.” I believe after you read that prayer, if you let Him, He will move on your behalf with my prayer for you. Thank you for your service brother.

pro tip: wearing a baseball cap with an american flag, flannels, and sporting a beard are all dead giveaways. might as well wear a shirt with a huge 5.11 logo. if that's your thing, good on you, but if you want to be the gray man, this is exactly how not to carry yourself. stay silent, stay concealed, stay dangerous
