At 2:41 you called the S11 the 72 just an FYI Very good and informative!

Great video!!! I brought this mixer at the start of the year and i agree with everything you have said. Hopefully they will be updates for the deck movement option to make it more accessible. And also they should have had a cue headphones button for deck 1 and 2 especially for the price range. But the independent pad modes and sample scratch option is incredible.

For me its the Independent pad modes, multi pad mode and the soundcard that convinced me. Everything else is just a big bonus! So im gonna buy mine today!

Agree on the headphone cue. I’m so comfortable with headphone cue buttons rather than the switch. It’s just outdated imo. Really wish they would of upgraded that.

Once you get accustomed to the cue button workflow everything else just feels so much slower in my opinion. I was sad that Rane moved to this similar cue system with the Seventy.

Great video. I'm used to the Pioneer club mixers but was considering getting this one but I think I'm going to wait it out. That Cue and the multiple touch steps has really deterred me from getting it. They need to just incorporate both styles. Thanks!
@profbx52583 жыл бұрын
You don't need to use the touch screen at all for deck move. SHIFT+Double Tap LOAD is the hardware control for deck move. :)
@PDot3 жыл бұрын
That is a handy shortcut but I still have an issue controller decks 3/4 due to having to use multiple screens on the touchscreen!
@DJEasybuckets3 жыл бұрын
You can also set it up so that you tap the waveforms on screen to move the song to deck 3 or 4

@@PDot you can only use it on the mixer touch lcd screen or on controllers and turntables too?

Great video fam! Thanks for sharing! I used to not care for the cue system until I learned the most efficient way to use it for me.. instead of turning the cue/master know I leave it on 100% cue and the use the ch1/2 slider to dial in what I need works great that way!

I think one annoying thing for me is the x fader tension adjust moving. Its only slight at times but enough to notice.
@mannyfreitas55633 жыл бұрын
My complaint is the talk over button. It could have been on the right side or a slider switch vs. a toggle switch that is always getting caught by my headphones cord, activated the mic without notice.
@PDot3 жыл бұрын
I agree, that placement is not ideal.

Another great video... Nice to see you return to PDot... You're def right about the Pioneer tax... But the S7 has kind of shattered that reputation.

Hi, I can’t get my new S11 to show waveforms or cue points on the mixer at all when using only a usb stick with cdj 2000 Nexus players. Is there a setting I have to select or does it only work with newer cdj’s like the 3000’s? Or do I have to prepare music in Rekordbox software or something for waveforms and cue points to show on the mixer? Any help is much appreciated.
@PDot2 жыл бұрын
To my knowledge the waveforms and performance pads only work when the S11 is plugged into a computer and do not work when using usb flash drives with CDJs.

Quite frankly. My OG Rane 72 still absolutely deficates molten hot lava feces all over this copy cat disgrace of a mixer. Byeeeee

While I wouldn’t use the phrase “molten hot lava feces”, as a Rane 72 owner for years I do agree that the S11 does copy the 72 in many ways.
