@spadetv1181 hire slow - fire fast. Treat your employees like family. Pay them fairly. Do fun stuff on a regular basis with the whole team. Have yearly 1 to 1s with each person and really discuss where there at where they want to go how we can get there talk both business and personal and provide guidance to help them.

First of all huge congrats! The first video of yours I've seen was probably in 2020 and I remember fondly subscribing in 2021, which was the time I began my own DJ journey. Your gig logs Rick, along with the setup and lighting tips - if it weren't for those vids I would've probably ended my journey before it even began. I realized early I wasn't a club guy and the moment I saw your content I realized weddings were my thing. I've found a great mentor and have been mimicking many parts of your setup. The foldable arm case install, now I'm onto soundswitch and wireless DMX...damn Rick you do know it all. Thanks for the great tips and ideas and keep it up!

I discovered you right at beginning of 2020. As another serial entrepreneur that has a successful landscaping maintenance business, a Pressure Washing service (that also hangs Christmas lights) I wanted to get into the wedding entertainment industry right as the world shut down and events stopped. I figured it was as great a time as any to start. By the time events started up again I'd be ready to go. A more recent spawn off of that has been event rental, doing tents, tables, chairs, decor for weddings, grad parties, etc. I agree about the wasting time running around for mundane errands.
