If we take Joe at face value, the truth is that sometimes the most qualified for a job don't want the responsibilityof leadership, which makes room for those who do want the responsibility but are absolutely terrible at their job.

He want to fund ideas thats his vision of ownership not the actual hands on touch on everything, which is wrong just a diff approach. Joe is not qualified to lead. He lacks the EQ, human skills and business accumen to lead an organisation. The skills it takes to be the best player in the team/league are not necessarily transerrable into becoming a coach or manager of a team. Some of the best coaches actually can't play that well. The question is, would Joe be willing to allow himself to be the star player of the network and bring in someone else to lead it?

Joe’s main problem is that he doesn’t want to play the game (understandably so) and he knows his real value - he could have easily gotten $40M - $100M a few years ago BUT he is adamant on ownership, no ads and video rights. Those are things he doesn’t want to give up and for that reason any company he goes to will only offer him around $5M - $7M and he feels like that’s a low-ball. And as crazy as it may sound to a lot of people - it is a low-ball. What people don’t understand is that Joe has a company that analyses his data on payroll and therefore he understands his value. His true value. If you listen to the pod you would know that Joe always says “what’s a stream really worth” and what people don’t understand is that the value of a stream is more than just listening to a song or podcast. The value of a stream is more so based on what else you do once you stream that one podcast you listen to. So you may find that, that one stream has gotten you to subscribe to that platform, listen to 10 other podcasts, given impressions to 100s of ads on the platform and maybe even spent thousands of dollars on products due to that one stream - and what’s crazy is the platforms have this information but they never tell you the information. So one stream could really be worth hundreds of dollars but the platforms would like you to believe that a stream is worth pennies. With all that being said though - I still think Joe should take one of the “lower” deals. Maybe $10M and license his rights for two/three years. He could then use that money to find other talent cause maybe the JBP is not the one that should be the cash cow for the network. Maybe he could find a podcast that could then bring the network in $50M and then use that $50M to find 20 pods that bring in $500M and then once he has $500M he can sell the whole network for $1.5B but what do I know 😂🤷🏽♂️

@@argue.with.yourself & yes they are doing well. Isn’t not like they don’t know how. Just saying they were forced to innovate. Idk why those skits were on the Joe budden pod before topics. It’s a genius idea when they did it.

Keep up the good work with the podcast. But, tell the editor to remove that 80's theme fade to the response to a question shot. That isssh reminded me of PBS back in '88. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Joe was talking so much crap about Charlamagne yet his way worked. Joe is great creatively tho.
@BinkiBianca2 жыл бұрын
@Double N You're missing my point. Joe (and his fans) were trashing Charlamagne for partnering with iHeart and using their resources to create his network as if he was stupid to do so but his network is thriving and Joe no longer has one.

It it also never made sense whatsoever to me that Joe constantly is busy complaining about his offers from other company's and trying to pressure them to "do right". How you gonna tell a company what to do with their money? If you think you know the right amount to be paying out then you start a company yourself where you be the one to pay what you want. Shit reminds me of employees that have never run a business before telling a restaurant they're underpaying their employees without a clue as to what those backend PNLs even look like. All because some bureaucrat ran with a new $15/hr minimum wage talking point.

I like how they can talk more respectfully than on EveryDay struggle idk if Joe have more respect for AK or just respects his platform but Joe use to overboard with not letting AK speak or respecting AK opinions .. it was odd to see a man treat a man like a little boy .. I understand certain people have leader intangibles but it wasn’t like Joe was leading it felt more like Joe use to Bully AK
@deconteeko74462 жыл бұрын
It seemed like they were just co-workers before, and Joe was playing his role. They then went through some things together and build mutual respect and a real friendship with each other. That’s what we’re looking at now. The evolution.

Not even just Joe.... all of em on thst show used to low key play Ak like he was the dweeb who was lucky they let in the popular people party, or sit at the cool table at lunch... But really, he was half the draw. That shows whole vibe was the Old head and New Heads of Hip Hop, on some Stephen A vs Max shit,....except Ak was really the new voice of the New School.... His Twitch interviews changed shit for him..

Joe got the talent and vision fasho but he shitted on Charlamagne doing that Network deal with IHEART but that’s the help of dealing with certain shit that you won’t have to deal with as a creator. He should still continue with a Network idea I just think he need a bigger backing or wait until he acquires more resources.

After he snaked Rory and Mal why would anyone trust Joe by being on his network? If he's going to snake his man's then how can you trust a nigga with a history of bad business. He's known Mal for damn near 15 years and did him dirty
@kdubsosolid2 жыл бұрын
@@christianjames92 I hear you but on the Network side of things Joe has to be out the way like they said. He gotta just being in the talent and let other people do the managing shit. Him not giving Mal & Rory equity was crazy.
