Django 1939 Minor Swing solo lesson

Django's Minor Swing solo from 1939 played in a slow tempo after which going through it part by part. I didn't go in to the harmony or theory because it would need a much longer video. I hope this will be helpful for students learning original solos.

Thanks Jack, Have tried to follow guitar tab for Django's solo for minor swing on other you tube lessons, but never managed to get it. but following your lesson over a few weeks ( I am mostly a weekend player) I have managed to learn the solo. However I am finding it hard to do the octaves at the end of your lesson but am practicing the octaves slowly and hopefully will be able to play them quicker with more practice. I look forward to your lesson on octaves and will be trying some of your other lessons. Don't know if you do requests but would love a solo lesson for Duke and Dukie, I know the rhythm and the main solo part leading to the rhythm at the beginning but would love to be able to extend on that with a solo as well. Anyway thanks again and please keep posting more lessons.

Hi Brad, many thanks for the comments and suggestions. This is a brand new channel and I welcome feedback so that I can improve the video's that I post. I will post a lesson on octaves very soon and regarding Duke and Dukie it will have to wait since I have quite a few other lessons already planned and in the pipeline. I wish you all the best. @@schoolofmanouche Hi Jack, Thanks for your reply. Looking forward to the octaves lesson and future lessons. Going to have a go at your "Ill see you in my dreams" lessons. I have learnt the intro before and a version of the first part but going to start your lessons from lesson 1 and hopefully move on from lesson 1 to the other lessons. I'll let you know how I get on, maybe in a few weeks though.
