DJ AUDITS

Күн бұрын

Today we take a look at Bank Of England, De La Rue, Commercial Printer, 3TN, Langston Rd, Loughton
We follow the public footpath as far as it could go and then get asked by security not to film so we return back to public land.
Security wasn't very helpful in defining the boundary so we had to guess.
Whilst flying the drone, the police arrive and try their best to obtain details.
Enjoy!

Completely agree with you I only recently started watching DJ Audits but if he doesn't know something he goes out of his way to learn it examples are insurance, or a video which had a flight restriction to an area that only applied to helicopters. He also talks to everyone with respect so long as they do the same seems like a top lad. I do think in time the law around drones will change though because having a number (not necessarily a real one) on a drone can be done by anyone as its something the owner put onto them and without being able to check means you cannot find unlicensed drones or even know if the person you are asking owns said drone. I understand people want to maintain there privacy but I do think the police should be allowed to confirm everything is above board as I imagen they could be used to great effect casing out places to rob which is what everyone who spit there dummy's at DJ and other Auditors is probably concerned about and overeacting.

I'm glad you made the point about so called "Stop and Account". You should probably also point out that the Police CANNOT use your refusal to talk to them or you walking away as a reason to arrest or detain you unless they have reasonable suspicion that you are, or about to, commit a crime (in which case Stop and account would not have been appropriate in the first place). KZbin auditors generally engage just for the footage, but could have (and should have) walked away if exercising/demonstrating rights was the real intention.

Your professional approach to staff who approach you to come to a conclusion to benefit both parties is spot on. You have covered all your bases before the Police arrived. Then the police weren't sure of boundaries or the law according to drone size. I'm pleased you weren't arrested. Well done I've learnt all this from you.

@RJWhitmore
@RJWhitmore 3 ай бұрын
@@learntooilpaint I know what you mean. The issue I have is that _with the current climate_ of funding issues, does it make sense to send two police officers to a situation where they have no idea if there is any law to have been broken? Not just if a person has broken a law, but if there is even a law to break? Obviously, investigation _of a crime_ is often required - but investigation of a non-crime? I've been assaulted in public unprovoked (not even said a word to the offender) - had my nose broken - in the middle of the day walking past a busy highway with witnesses that came to help immediately afterwards. The police were called on a phone by a passerby who handed the phone over to myself, not minding the blood that got all over it. The only thing the police did was to tell me to carry on heading home and keep my nose pinched. No police were sent to attend the crime area or recover witness statements or get video footage from the nearby businesses. _Clearly, I should have been flying a drone at the time._ EDIT: The police officers at the end of the video clarify they were called because DJ _may_ attempt to enter the restricted areas of the site - this is even more absurd! The place is like Fort Knox. At no point did DJ make any attempt to do that, nor mention any desire to do so. In fact, he was quite clear what and why he was in the area (which he did not need to do at all) and headed further away than likely necessary, while not attempting to hide in any way. This would be like me calling the police because someone walks past my house and I am worried they may try to enter. Why did the police choose to attend such a non-incident?

I think the first lady was a bit embarrassed when she asked for Colin and instead the not so quick reaction force in the guise of Dishevelled Dan shuffled around the corner, looking like he'd flip flops on, lol. Another successful engagement DJ, Taking into consideration the amount and frequency that Police are now coming across drone activity, you would think the powers to be would create a small aid memoire to assist their enquiries.

With the woman, you gave her a hard way to go, actually making her job a little more difficult. Then when that man came out, you left almost immediately, looking for public ground to stand on. Why didn't you give him a hard way to go as well?! Seems to me, you're trying to act very important!! But you're just being a little pest!!

Let's cut the bullshit, there is no realistic reason for you being there, doing what you are doing. It's a Bank Of England facility, which is obvious with all the signs, security and cameras around. You're filming through the fence at arriving vehicles, and that can be interpreted as surveillance. What you're actually doing is being purposely provocative (for the reason of making content and reactions) without having a valid reason to be there. You're not an employee, your not just simply walking by, you're filming a high valued facility, from ground level and altitude.

Nice video. That 2nd security guard was a mess of a man. His shirt hanging out, scruffy looking and rude. The coppers were fine for a change, but I'm glad you decided to ask if you were detained and when they replied no you walked away. I like watching your videos you have a more polite manner than some of the other guys. I do like it when you get fed up with people or police for being rude though it makes me laugh and educates the ignorant. Great job.

D.J., you are confusing law with legal, as the law must be obeyed, whereas legal requires "Consent." The "Bank" who calls themselves a "Bank" does not want any filming and should ask to speak to them if they are claiming it's their land. Who is saying you trespassing? That security guard says it all when asked a question, and only the owner can trespass, anyone of their land if anyone has strayed onto it. If a door is unlocked, and the same for the gate if you are trying to speak to the owner to ask anything. If I did not want anybody on my land, I would have a high fence, locked doors and gate, and even have C.C.T.V. for security. The stop gates have nothing to stop people from walking on the pathway, so it would be irrelevant, and it would mean you could not drive past it if it was down.
