As a security officer and supervisor I'm supposed to be impartial,, however, this is really getting under my skin. It cost me a lot of money to complete my training and the recent upskilling to maintain my licence. And still there are these issues where officers are employed who can't string a sentence together and who have zero ability to engage people professionally. It's embarrassing and annoying. HelloFresh made a number of mistakes: 1. The first security guy with badge said he wasn't recording, when in fact he was. I don't know whether the same rules apply as police, but data protection handling laws certainly apply and a member of the public has a right to know if they're being filmed so they can request a copy of the recording at a later date if need to be. So when asked are you recording me he should have said yes. Which then lets you exercise your FOI request legal right to request a copy of the recording, and maybe even ask them to delete it. 2. The second guy had no ID card and as pointed out, that's a legal requirement to wear it but he claimed it wasn't and he didn't need to wear it. 3. They seemed to think as a company it's ok to record a member of the public (not even on their property) but that you're not allowed to record them even from a public space. That's not how it works. Anyone can film anyone in a public space, including them and their building. Technically, since DJ was on public land and they're a commercial company and so subject to data protection handling law, he could object to being filmed by a bodycam and could ask them not to do that to respect and protect his privacy. Whilst the public has the right to video record anyone and anything they can see in a public place, commercial companies are more restricted in data collecting and handling. Orange coat security man with the bowl haircut could audition for the Beatles. Just needed to lighten his skin a bit and buy pair of John Lennon glasses..then hello hello, I dunno why you say goodbye when I say hello. Yoooou say goodbye, and I say hello.
