South Wales Scrap Trains - 2021 & 2022

A mix of scrap workings filmed over the past 6 mouths including EMU's (315's, 317's, 365's & 455's), Class 43's, MK3 coaching stock, and DVT's. All filmed at Severn Tunnel Junction and Caldicot, all heading to Sims Newport.
Mostly hauled by Europhoenix 37's/57's locomotives and a GBRf class 47 to end off the video, thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed this compilation.

19:37 the wiper is still on. Very sad to see many Networks going for scrap but the 317s and the 315s hurt the most for me

What exactly was up with most of that stock? Metal fatigue or unviable repair? It looks too recent to be scrapped.

DFT said so most likely, or 'emission concerns' in terms of the 43s

Some of them are not that old should be gone for scap or at least give people the chance to have last ride before going scraping
