This song gives me chills up my spine. One of my favourite songs of all time, not just by the master Peter Gabriel. Something about this song brings out something ancient and primal and tribal. I love how I can see (in my mind) a dark night, just a fire in the middle of nowhere, just the dry heat of the desert and dust, with so much magic around. Truly a captivating and consuming song. I love it.

This song reminds me of a dream I had a few years ago which has stayed with me to this day. In the dream, I was in a laundrette of all places talking to a man who turned into a shaman. He place a large acupuncture-like pin in the centre of my head before his eyes rolled to the back of his head. He then told me to take his hand, and when I did, I entered a trance and found myself in some sort of tribal initiation ceremony. I heard lots of chanting and drumming and felt hands touching me all over then suddenly woke up.
