The 60' and 70's are both excellent !!! I came through both, the 70's feeds off the 60''s. But to me, it starts going down hill fast !! The Allman Brothers Band did come back in the 90's with some really good stuff featuring Derrick Trucks, Bitch Trucks son (one of the greatest guitar players in the world !!! However, 70's are the best !!!!

Flashback to 1980. I was a senior in college and had been working in nightclubs as a DJ for about a year. Some of my underclassmen friends invited me to go see Nick Lowe at a medium sized club in San Francisco. I said I really didn't want to go to a club on my night off but they persuaded me to go. It's GA, people walking around, dancing, etc. Maybe 500 people. Midway through the set, Nick starts to introduce the band. He gets to the keyboardist and the name doesn't click right away. Thanks Heinekin. Anyway, then he says we'd like to play a #1 hit our friend had in 1974. The bass line starts and I LOSE MY MIND!!!! I had always loved this song and bought the album when I was 15. I couldn't thank my friends enough for making sure I went out with them that night. I'll never forget it.

Listening to the beginning and the base, surely reminds me of my youngest brother, who taught himself to play a base guitar, as our father was also a self taught musician for years. Along with another brother who also passed aftewards at age 58..What a great musician he was. Missing him daily. RIP my brother Gustavo Parra..who passed at a young age of 52 of a heart condition.. gone too soon but never forgotten. How I miss you...you can play your music again for us in heaven one day...Love you my dearest brother. 🙏😪..Rock music was his love.

The 70's was a time where life was much more care free and songs like this (and many others) were created. An outstanding era. Now in 2020, in isolation and living in a not so care free world. Listening to tunes of yesteryear like this makes this upside down world look a little upright and sane. God Bless!!
