This song takes me back when I was a kid listening to this song when it was new on the radio. I still remember being in my room on a weekend at night with the lights off and only the glow of the lights of my mini home stereo on AM radio. It was winter and I looked outside only to see my surroundings filled with fresh snow and the yellow orange reflections of light coming from the street light illuminating the snow like millions of diamonds. Young, warm in my room, the cool touch of glass from my window, care free,and appreciating the simple things of life. The 70's , you had to live it to understand it.

Who else is jamming out to this in 2020?
@carriespeakstv27714 жыл бұрын
Moi @ June 27, 2020.😃. In my opinion though, in each and every year, new songs were kind of evolving. Different styles of music were being made for example such as EDM songs, Pop, Rock, Ballad, Hard Metal, Punk Rock, etc. I like listening to all kinds of music whether it is an old school music or even new songs of today. Of course, because of high technology nowadays, music can be made easily unlike before. So, it is just a matter of seeing that these people are just bringing out the artist in them by making music in whatever generation they are in or whatever genre of music they like to make. Music is a universal language and it is a one kind of communication and expression of ourselves, so I think we should respect what other people would love to hear. Whether old or new songs. Stay safe everyone and God bless us all.😘😘😘

We were so blessed to grow up in this era... America was SUCH a wonderful country... the music in the 70's was just unbelievable... Its extremely hard to explain to my grand kids and even my son just how great it was back then..I was a small boy in 70's... But I still remember it so well... People were soo different.. this country was amazing place to grow up in... Its just absolutely mind blowing the drastic changes we have gone through... Movies of the 90's and early 2Ks as well... just really awesome movies.. but this music... Man nothing can remotely touch that era... and sadly enough we seem to not be walking in an opposite direction of that same greatness... we seem to be running as fast as we can... On one hasnd listening to this era puts a smile on my face.. a TRUE smile...on the other it makes me sad cause I realize music is dieing...its actually dieing.

I always found music to be a reflection of the times. With all the turmoil in today's world, one would think the music would be indicative of that (Just watched a biog of Crosby Stills Nash & Young as an example). My nephew (who is a gifted musician himself), told me that unfortunately, today's youth "expression of choice" is social media, not the arts. How truly sad.
