GoPro Hero 11 vs GoPro Hero 12 : Dashcam Duel

As a fellow Tim in a new Mazda 3 thanks for this Was trying to figure out a dash cam solution for my car when a buddy of mine suggested getting a GoPro for it which started me on a KZbin rabbit hole and watched a lot of your videos! Helpful and informative! 😊👍 I am wondering though, can you plug in the power and run it with the power on while plugged in?

You can even remove the door if you wish and by using this method you can reduce the chance of your GP overheating . Thanks for watching and great taste in cars and name ! all the best

Hey Tom ! thanks for your comment! The plate recognition is pretty good for both the 11 and 12 but it does depend on the resolution. A higher resolution- like 4K - captures more pixels of data than 1080 - so the quality will be better. It does use up more space on your memory card though. Increasing the frames per second would also improve plate recognition- even at 1080 - but again you would be using more of your memory card. I normally use 128 G or 256 G memory cards and they can capture hours and hours of footage depending on your resolution and fps. If you set your GoPro to loop you can save on space. @@OakmanNZ Hey OakmanNZ! You can definitely film in 1080p. It uses less space on your memory card and is still in full HD however I find 4K works the best for me. Thanks for your comment!

Hey JM! Thanks for your comment. Interesting that you thought the 11 looked better . With the same processor and specs in this video, the only real difference between the two is the HDR option on the 12. Thanks for your opinion and taking the time to check out my video.
