*UPDATE: Genuine Apple USB-C to TRRS adapter works with EVERY mic* I have and every set I have. So, I deleted the part in which I complained about microphones - as it is not valid anymore and it wasn't camera's fault. It was the fault of cheap adapter bought online which worked randomly with some microphones only. The Apple adapter JUST WORKS and it was just £7.50. Thanks @Preston Gladd - for the tip and helping me out.

I'm thinking of getting a hero 10 for only chest mount use. want that stability and horizon level..... bit too expensive though. maybe later.... thanks for good video. Bardzo dobre!

If you look for continuos recording of long footage with a mild wind reduction with windslayer - then hero 10 is the way to go. However if you look for recording of short clips only (like 30s each), and you don't care about in camera microphone wind then I can only recommend the DJI. Horizon levelling and balancing works better on DJI as well, unless you do a Max lens mod. But all depends on a price difference.

Nice comparison mate.👍 I have a Hero 8, pretty happy with it, but wish the battery life would have been a bit better.
@UncleLongbeard2 жыл бұрын
DJI won't sort that problem for you then ;) It is a good camera for short clips though. If you want a battery life - buy hero 10 and turn off all the stuff like horizon levelling, linear mode and record in 1080p 30. That should give you some extra time. And 1080 won't be that bad especially that YT is ruining the quality much worse anyway :D

I still have the GoPro 4 Silver - GoPro Batteries are rubbish. Still using the Drift Ghost-s, 360...With so many cameras out there GoPro need to get thier act together. Another good info video. Thanks Dude.

Many people were saying good things about the drift cameras however for me they were always pretty bad in terms of image quality. And that is a priority to me. Sound is also important and I've got mixed feelings when it comes to that with dji.

You need a TRS to TRRS adapter for the lav mics to work. I use a rode adapter. So it’s the usb c to trrs adapter, then a trrs to trs adapter, then the lav mic.
@UncleLongbeard2 жыл бұрын
And that is exactly what lays on that table. First usb-c to trrs and then trrs to TRS. Both adapters working well on other devices as I said but not on action 2

@@PrestonGladd I've got a main question: which firmware are you on? It is really weird thing as my usb-c to trrs adapter works with every earphone set on act2 camera, and it also works well with trrs and trs (with another adapter) mikes on my Huawei phone.I started even suspecting that they ruined something with newest firmware

any heating issue for dji? as a motoclog?

not if you have that extra magnetic case. but I would choose GoPro anyway. I find DJI good for b rolls only

An interesting camera, but it's like none of them ask motovloggers what they want.
@HippoDrones2 жыл бұрын
@Black Sheep Biker seems that way... but if one company were to make the camera we all wanted, we'd all get it and they'd sell a truck load of them. Instead we all buy a few of each and are never happy with them.
@HippoDrones2 жыл бұрын
@Black Sheep Biker I have the Insta360 One X2 and One R, neither would be cameras I'd use over a Hero 10 as a helmet camera, I ideally would want the Hero 10 to just not need a microphone adapter/media mod and it would be spot on.
@HippoDrones2 жыл бұрын
@Black Sheep Biker I don't have one for a start, but I also don't like the FOV on their fixed lens cameras, and also don't like the little gap between files you get with them on long recordings.
@HippoDrones2 жыл бұрын
@Black Sheep Biker I love their 360 cameras though, but they are secondary angle cameras not primary helmet cam.

interestingly I had the same opinion about their cameras after short contact. Didn't try rs but r was less then convincing. Also not waterproof as far as I remember. For me GoPro is closest to perfection if not that mini jack thing. And with DJI I'm disappointed. After good start with action 1 and drone experience they could do better... much better. That camera here is really interesting but too many issues, like unfinished product really. And that's a pity as it had potential to be the best for us.
