I bought an Osmo Action 3 last year and was blown away by the richness of the colours compared to other action cams. I've just bought the Osmo Action 4 mainly for how well it handles low light and night time. Between those two and the DJI Drone I have everything I need. Phenomenal quality. Great review. Thank you!

Battery charging cases are simply easy to carry. No worries when your battery is low in the camera. ..got 2 more to spare where you can travel the whole day. I'm looking for a mini tripod for my extendable pole. Great camera to play around with.

I just purchased the Adventure combo from Best Buy for under $350. I originally had the pocket 3 but returned it to pay for my dog’s vet bills. That said, I love how I can almost be “carefree” with it. With the pocket 3 being gimbal, I had to be very mindful & strategic with my movements, when I’m not shooting anything but a “walk & talk” and shopping vlogs lol

I am just ordinary.user upgraded to the Osmo Action 4. As there are so many tutorials, a bit confused about the sharpness. Mine is set to the default. Some say to lower it to minus 1 or 2. Some say the opposite. Can you please help here? Is there a big noticeable difference?

If u plan on editing the vids with color grading, you could lower the sharpness and add it in post because digital sharpening isnt that great in these cams. Otherwise, go with what looks good to you

I like the Action 4. But I would say there are cons. For me standout cons are no spot metering mode for exposure and horizon balancing only available in 16:9 not 4:3.

Depends on the light. For rock steady don't use one at all.

The most amazing thing on this cam is you can connect a DJI mic mini without a reciever..having said that,its soo easy..no wires or adapters required.. The biggest negative which youtube doesnt say is dat you need a phone to activate this cam which involves downloading an apk file on to your phone (sketchy) So b careful about dat..

Great video. I'm sick of dealing with customer service of another action camera brand to fix my other action cameras. I've probably been through 30 of them breaking over the years. Its not clear about that "charge case", and nobody seemed to clearly mention this. Is the case just a rack in which you put the bateries, AND you need to connect it to a power source, or the case actually contains a battery and can charge the cameras bateries while in it ? I also did not found if you can take pictures while recording. Would be cool to know.

The case is just a “rack” that you connect to external power to charge. I thought it was a power bank at first but found out it wasn’t the case once I got it. Which makes sense to be honest, not sure why I thought it was a power bank too

It acts as a powerbank to connected devices. Connect it to a charger and it'll charge the 1 to 3 batteries inside. Connect it to something else and it uses the batteries placed inside it to charge that external device. It has no fixed battery by itself and I don't know why you'd want that. Charging a battery with a battery is slower, degrades two instead of one battery, and requires space you could use for another removable battery that can be used in the camera directly.

@ @ so first of all its a charging rack not a power bank. Second, i never said i wanted that, i was just asking as to what it is. Its the same as using a battery to charge your phone, you still use a batery to charge a batery. Thanks for your answer

I have never heard of that problem ever with a dji camera are you sure you're not using a gopro ?

Mine overheats too, this causes the lens to fog really fast during motor rides.
