The bottom line for judging any camera drone is to determine just how good its video is, and that’s what this episode is all about. I shot a variety of short clips with the Air 2S, which are featured in this video. These clips were all taken in 5.4k resolution, 30 frames per second, in D-LOG.
Of course, to really judge the quality you need to see the original files, unedited and straight out of the camera. I’ve included a link to a zip file with all the video clips you’ll see in this episode, for you to download and test on your computer. The file is free, no registering to get it - just download and play with the clips, and you can be the judge on how good the Air 2S footage looks without any editing or KZbin compression.

For some reason these files cannot be opened in Linux Mint. I've been testing the video and photo quality of this camera and find it lacking for a 1" sensor. Sadly I ordered it from a small shop that doesn't accept returns once a box is opened. Crazy I know. So I'm stuck with this mediocre drone. The d-log footage is passable but I expected much better from it. Also, and this is a biggie, it does not zoom in photo mode.

Have you tried shooting in H.264?

@@JeffSibelius Not yet. I like H.265 but if you think it will make a difference I will try it today. Soon even.

@@SW-Video It's worth a try. H.265 is just less compatible than H.264, it seems. Unfortunately you lose 5.4K video with H.264, but you still should be able to shoot lower resolutions, and if you are interested in the zoom the lower settings may suit your needs better anyway.

@@JeffSibelius Thank you Jeff. I normally shoot in 4k 30 anyway. I find it plenty good for quality. This thread/video is about video but I am highly disappointed the A2S does not have the zoom function in photo mode. A real head scratcher. I think this drone is good for quick run and gun video and photos but is not anywhere near pro level. People should know that before spending a grand or more on one.

Also, due to the more powerful processing power consumption, the flight time of 16-19 minutes is disappointing. My point is simple. People should be aware of the many limitations of the A2S and limit their expectations of this camera drone IMHO.
