Greetings from Canada. I'm currently flying a Holy Stone hs900 the app doesn't have VR mode forcing you to purchase their headset at a hefty price. Do you know any work around for this ?

Hi Jeff - I'm unfamiliar with the Holy Stone drone. as an inexpensive alternative, see if the Drone Mask will work on your system. Great straight forward video. Thank you. I am getting ready to buy a new Mac and new photo video editing software. This looks very intuitive by the way you demonstrate PhotoDirector. I shoot Sony a7iii. Any comments on how well this communicates with the Sony ?

Hi - I don't understand the question. Communicates with the Sony? You should be able to pull the media card and copy files to your drive to edit them with PowerDirector. Help me understand your question, although I am admittedly not a Mac user.

We build our own now because we are hobbyists not terrorists that need monitoring by Alphabet Agencies. 2024 FPV is unstoppable!!! Next they will demand Registration, Insurance and Photo ID. Naw. We're good on that.

Thank you. I would recommend prop guards still. But the question is can they do house tours. Church is huge. But what about real estate inside tours? Arent you getting pushed away from the walls?

There's no reason NOT to use prop guards if you want them. I just found no reason to do so. The drones were very stable and I had no concerns about bumping into things. If I wanted to do interior videos of a house, I'd be comfortable using a drone. The only thing I'd say is that your room to fly is very limited, so I don't know how much value you'd get with the drone. I would be more inclined to use an action camera or 360 camera on a pole or selfie stick to create drone-like shots. But sure, you could use the drone inside.

@@caesar5555 I can't speak to the Avata 2. I've never flown one. Personally, I would be less inclined to use an Avata 2 because the goggles wouldn't give you the same view of the drone itself. But that's just my bias.

Thank you, Lawrence. I can't tell you how much all the comments and best wishes have meant to me these past few weeks. Physically, I continue to do very well with the recovery although I'm still pretty weak. This week I hope to charge up a couple batteries so I can tget out and fly next weekend, depending on the heat. It's pretty awful in Texas now. But I'm dying to fly!

The Drone Mask is just what I need. The problem is, that I have a DJI Mini 3 where the cell phone needs to be inserted and connected to the controller console. I don't see a way around this. Maybe someone may have a solution.

I've only had my Q500 sitting in its case for a few years. I was watching some videos about drone footage and started thinking, "I wonder if my batteries are still good?" Both are a little puffy. One seems to be working fine. One seems to not be working properly. I get the solid red light after it flashes a bit. The other one will flash red, then green and red flashing, then back to red flashing. The voltage shows 12.6 volts on the controler screen. The bad battery shows 11.7 volts. I'll have to try flying it. I don't know how long the bad one will last. Probably not long at all. I think it will just start and land.

If it wasn't so horribly hot I'd alrready e trying to get out and fly. I'm hopeful that I will feel strong enough to get out for an early morning flight time in a couple weeks. Doctors say I can drive a car again after 4-6 weeks, so that would fit the time table as well. Let me know if you've got a nice place to fly in your neck of the woods - always fun to find a new spot!

@@JeffSibelius Yeah I'm not a person that takes the heat very well, I actually HATE it, you would think I would have gotten used to it being in Texas since 1979, but I guess getting older makes me hate it more😆 Hope you're recovering well

@@WORTHITORNOT Historically the heat hasn't bothered me but it's too much for me right now. I should be able to drive again in a few weeks and will hopefully be stronger by then. I need to get out - got cabin fever like you wouldn't believe! I did have a very good appointment with the surgeon's office today, everything healing very well, so it's just a matter of continuing with that and building strength back.

Great to hear you're doing OK. One piece of advice I'd give you: Take your recovery REALLY slowly. While you may feel great, your body needs much more time to get well. Never overdo things. (Advice from someone who's had 10 surgeries and a daughter who's had open-heart surgery).

@@vareast your comment has proven to be on the mark. I have tried to rest, follow the guidelines I have been given. But I tried to go back to sleeping in a regular bed ... once. I think I tried to sleep on my side during the night rather than on my back, and my chest is still aching from that error several days later. Otherwise, however, I am getting rave reviews from the medical team on my recovery and I have started cardiac pt. So other than my one lapse in judgment I think I have behaved pretty well.

2 years ago now I had a valve replacement and 18 months ago my wife went one better and had two valves and a bypass so I know what your going through, It all gets better from here. My surgeon told me the best thin I could do was walk and climb stairs. I started by walking around the village where I live. At first my walks were slow but it wasn't long before people I spoke to told me I had speeded up quite a bit and I wasn't anywhere as breathless as I was before the operation. Its all positive from this point on Jeff. You will soon be back flying your drones. That reminds me, I must get out with my Air2 S.

It really is amazing to be on my feet the same day as open heart surgery. Walking the hallway the next day. A week after surgery I had dinner at a local restaurant. Today I walked around Nebraska Furniture Mart - a HUGE store. Shocking to be doing so much so quickly. It all hurts and I'm still weak, but . . . remarkable.

Some life changes aren't any fun. I have also had an open heart bypass. Little things your body will tell you may freak you out but will pass with the healing. Hang in there and God bless you. I have learned much from your videos.

I started with PowerDirector 14 and bought the add-ons a la carte. By version 16 I was a convert and went to 365 and never looked back. Now I can't believe how much I rely on PhotoDirector too. Many of my photos become B roll material for my videos. The problem was that PowerDirector had many tutorials, and PhotoDirectoer was treated like a step child.

Jeff, this is Bill again, the diehard Q500 fan. I can't Bind an old Q5004K. What's odd is that it bound perfectly yesterday but this morning it "unbound" itself & like I said. My next step is to try another transmitter...but my bet is it won't work. Any ideas? I know the binding procedure by heart but always use the book. As always, any help greatly appreciated!

Hi Bill - I must admit, you've got me stumped with this one. I can't think of any reason why you would have to rebind the drone two days in a row, let alone have binding work one day and not the next. Any chance there is interference causing the rebind to fail the second day? Try rebinding in a different location? Other than that, it would be a good test to try a different transmitter if relocating doesn't work. Do you have a different transmitter?

@@JeffSibelius Thanks a million Jeff & you hit on the answer! Here's what happened - I went through three other transmitters trying to bind yesterday. No luck.You mentioned nearby interference! How about a portable ice maker working within 3 feet of my binding operation! Today, ice maker off, it binded immediately! Once again you have saved a diehard fan! Thank you very much Jeff for taking your valuable time to help!

Hey, brother, it's a long road ahead for me unfortunately. I need open heart surgery to deal with the blockages. I was hoping for stents or something less invasive, but no such luck. Still waiting to talk to the surgeon to set the date for that. I did pick up a Mavic Mini 4K and I hope to do a first look video before I go back to the hospital. I should be able to fly this weekend if the weather forecast proves to be accurate. We shall see.
