I’ve been using the A2 for RE walkthrough videos and it’s incredibly confident indoors. No issue with stability or connection at all in my experience. Love it.

Can you use it for the outside establishing shots to? Or does it not give the same look as a normal drone

Nice one, man! This might be the best real estate "inside tour" drone ever. Level flying with the motion controller, smooth turns, smooth accelleration. The biggest thing you need to worry about is lighting which can be fixed with some mounted LEDs on top (and bottom/rear to keep the rear sensors happy). You can also place some battery powered LED light wands around the house prior to filming to fill in any dark corners. I also saw some advice about bringing your own bulbs for the times where flicker occurs with the home owners bulbs (havent seen that myself but solid backup plan just in case). Ive had a great time with Wide FOV and Gyroflow. The lens correction on Gyroflow makes things look natrual, horizon lock looks great, having control over the smoothness of the stabilization and the zoom speed is great. Another thing I noticed works great is to keep the shutter speed at 1/120 because unlike acrobatic footage, you dont want your turns to be blurry in a real estate tour. Locking the white balance is also a good idea.

Nice review. I’ve found the Avata 2 to be a good improvement over the V1. I noticed the same reasons you noted. It is definitely more stable in tight hallways or entering tight doorways.

Horizon lock is phenomenal too. Shoot in wide no EIS and then Gyroflow horizon lock 😄
@jasonzdora
@jasonzdora 3 ай бұрын
Yeah, dude! +1 for Gyroflow. 100% worth it to do Gyroflow in post. That horizon lock makes things look super "normal" and pleasing for folks who arent looking for an acrobatic flying experience. I guess some small yaw banks could look cool if youre going for that but most of the time if youre just making a U-turn in a bathroom, you dont want to make it look like youre on a roller coaster, hehe. Having control over the zoom speed and stuff is great too.

If you don't have good gps you need good lighting for the backup position sensors. With the motion RC mine started to drift indoors quite a bit in low light quite a bit until I got satellites. Pilot Institue's review says that if you are using the FPV3 controller and you don't have GPS and go into low light it switches over to manual without notice which is could be disastrous. But I haven't experienced this yet.

Hello there, I own about 12 cameras yes 😁 To answer your question, I shoot real estate with a camera (Sony A7siii) on a gimbal. Drones are great but for some tight spaces and low-light situations I like to use a bigger sensor and have better quality. It all depends what you want to shoot and how. Take care

Hi Cris, I have a question regarding my DJI Avata. I’m trying to use 4K at 60 fps with the ultra wide lens and HorizonSteady, but it seems like these settings are not compatible. Does anyone know why the DJI Avata restricts certain stabilization modes with specific resolutions and lenses? Is there any way to bypass these limitations or any recommended solutions?
@cris_photography
@cris_photography 27 күн бұрын
Hey there, thanks for the message. I never actually tried the avata with horizon steady AND 60p and I don't own it anymore unfortunately. If you fly steadily I would deactivate horizon steady mode or just change to 24p (unless you need the looks of 60 or you want to slow-mo later on in post). Cheers!
