DJI drones are so critical in this modern world in law enforcement, farming, surveying, search and rescue, remote inspections, etc. Drones can’t fly over restricted area, this ban is about benefitting a particular business that’s unable to compete.

The senate has removed specific mentions of DJI. Now it's just a technical question of whether sensitive data is being transmitted by any drone. It's important to understand just how much crap gets packed into the NDAA for political purposes. Every issue a congressman can make a commercial about gets packed into it (so they can say "See? I tried! Money please!"), but those versions are always full of some weird polarizing stuff that one side or the other won't accept in a must-pass-or-no-military type bill. This bill should be about getting our armed forces funded, and it gets all sorts of stuff like this. It was always dead on arrival in the Senate, and any of the 'poison pill' amendments were doomed. Glad to see the DJI ban falls into that category.

At this point, I don’t really care, if they bane in USA. DJI making so much money from the US and their price are way too much over price, I’m just hoping new company from United state make new drone and make it cheaper. TBH in the reality it’s the safest to have made in USA, business people only care about money but, can’t fully trust other countries especially China, you never now. If you know the politics or more about the government you will never trust China, it’s as same as North Korea, they just know how to hide it.

I live across the pond, but been watching regular updates reference the proposed bill, without a doubt DJI are the most advanced drone manufacturer in the world, and has made progress to allay any fears of data harvesting, with regards flight log recording data sent back to them, for me it’s all about the potential of all the lost revenue that DJI have made, and unless DJI get a serious competitor from America , this saga will go on and on, let’s all Hope common sense continues to prevail ,. I think our governments think we are all daft and need to remember who put them in office , it’s all about politics, power and greed. I would worry more about our own government’s who track you from birth to death, than DJI I’ve been in the hobby for over 10 yrs , tried other drone manufacturers , but non come close to DJI
