If you started tomorrow would you buy these for $199 bit.ly/WalksnailGogglesL or something else?
@ArtemisKittyАй бұрын
Depends on the compatibility with my existing hardware/planned future builds, battery life and range IRL (not as reported, since that's never accurate) and cross-brand compatibility. Since I build, my stuff is never the same from drone to drone. Also... for that same price, you can easily pick up a "Refreshed" fat shark or similar from the rain forest online merchant YT doesn't allow named, so it would be a comparison there between a known good product and a new contender. They would have to offer enough more than the old one for me to justify it. I do applaud the price, though, as this puts it in the affordable realm of a lot more people vs the average 3x this price that I see on other brands. Edit: by existing hardware, I mean components like chargers/batteries/controllers I already have from other RC hobbies besides drones. But... as a new user, I'd still want to know I can use it on any future ones I own/build. At least for a few years. I hate buying stuff that's outdated/unusable 6 months later. Edit 2: Oh, except it's not compatible with anything, even the camera modules we might have already, so the actual entry price is $379.99... (Can't just plug in an existing starvis module to their tx module or anything, which also limits you to ONLY using their cameras. Closed system.)

@@GrmlMaster not really, for people who are already flying analogue, most of them are flying with at least the cobras. Cheap goggles doesn't mean digital systems have become affordable. The googles are not the problem, IMHO. It's the parts you put on a quad and risk damaging in every flight. I started 2 months ago with analog because I was able to buy Caddx Ratel 2 + AKK 800 mW VTX for $40 during a sale. Already gone through 2 x Rush Cherry antennas. Also I just got HGLRC Draknight for a price of the Walksnail Avatar Kit. ($100). Maybe I'll try walksnail on my sub 250 4 inch long range quad, because it weighs less than a thumb cam...

been flying for 8yrs and I've broken less in fact hardly anything at all ever since I switched to walksnail. Flying analog was always a gamble, wait weeks because of weather and other factors only to crash and break a frame or cam or motor.... but was a good learning experince, albeit an expensive one...

Are you crashing a lot?

Hello, nice video! I want to switch from my analogue FPV to the digital system. My budget is relatively low and is around 300 to 350 euros. I would buy these glasses because I want to mount them on my RC plane, but I don't know which camera I should buy with them so that I don't have to pay more than 350 euros. However, it should be a good quality camera. Can you help me with which camera system I should buy with these goggles?
@moviefalk177Ай бұрын
And which battery makes the goggles work?
@zeendaniels5809Ай бұрын
Too bad there's no analog input. Imo, that's a big selling point of the Googles X (then again, too bad there's no decent option for an analog receiver that doesn't look dumb).

how come walksnail VRX costs $219 without a screen?

Nothing beter in the market then HDO2 ,yes yes is analog . But is just best

while im glad that there are new products coming from caddx. The lead time ton getting the things you order is horrible. 2-3 weeks before most items are even shipped. im still waiting on shipping confirmation for parts for my gofilm 20 which 2 motors burnt out on flight testing. unable to fly or do anything. so again im glad a cheaper entry is here but if you have a massive wait from order to ship time. just keep this in mind to those starting in the hobby wiht walksnail. That said aside from my gofilm 20 being grounded and the horrible order to ship time the Goggles X are a great alternative to dji. once you get them and clean up little issues.

This right here is so important. I don't know too much about lead times but caddx just update us more. Communicate better

When are these fpv goggles going to ha e the same fov as vr headsets? I use vr daily for work, rhen when switching to these fpv goggles its like looking at 2 poststamps from half a metree away
@UAVfutures29 күн бұрын
never, also pilots have consistantly given feedback that too much FOV is actually more difficult to fly with when going at high speed. large fov is great for a ride along, but not so much for actual piloting.

What's up with the twitchiness, is it coming from camera/recording or is it the drone?
@UAVfuturesАй бұрын
in my flying, the video, the dvr, my camera face talking, which bit? or a time stamp?
@Giedrius00Ай бұрын
@@UAVfutures I think it is a combination of youtube showing the video, my pc and your flying, when I see a lag/twitch and I rewind that part it disappears, only clear twitches from your controls are left. Sorry for confusion, your friend flies way smoother though.
@16-BITFPVАй бұрын
The "twitchiness" you're seeing is personally why I don't like digital. I call it "blurry", makes me feel dizzy.

I also can't watch iMax movies for the exact same reason.
