I'm using DJI Mini 4 Pro. I have D-Log M instead DJI D-Log. I think i can't use color space transform part, bcs it doesn't have a DJI D-Log M which is not same DJI D-Log. Can i use directly Mini 4 Pro LUT that is given on official DJI website..
@DannyGanАй бұрын
Yes, you can do that. D-Log M is just a lower contrast rec.709, so you don’t need a conversion LUT
@cotyoran0652Ай бұрын

So does that Color Space Transform essentially replace having to use a LUT? That is confusing to me kind of still newer to Resolve.
@DannyGan4 ай бұрын
Yes, there are 3 ways you can do colour management. 1. LUT 2. Color Space Transform 3. DaVinci Color Managed Each has their own pros and cons

is this good for dji action 2 in d-cinelike ?
@sireric8713 ай бұрын
Hello Danny, I followed the professional LUTs and settings you provided. However, the colors in my DJI Pocket 2 videos are turning excessively blue. It's challenging to adjust this strong blue tint. The videos were shot against the sun with a lot of blue tones, but the issue is not as severe when I use the color space transform node in the settings. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts on how to address this color imbalance effectively? Kind regards Eric

hi, thanks for the video. i would like to ask you a question: i have a dji pocket 2, do you have a solution on how to remove the ugly moire aliasing effect? thanks.
@DannyGanАй бұрын
Moire is caused by over-shapening, you can try to target the area and reduce detail/sharpness
@marcore6216Ай бұрын
@@DannyGan thanks for the reply. unfortunately this effect is always present at all resolutions. I discovered that many users have reported the problem to dji, I can only lower the detail, sometimes the moire is minimal, but often it is present. it improves if I use the d-cine like profile

Do you know why when I add the CST on my D-Log M footage, it becomes over exposed and extremely over saturated?
@DannyGan3 ай бұрын
Because D-Log M is not actual Log. It’s just Rec.709. Try getting the manufacturer’s LUT from their website for colour management 😊

it sucks that temporal threshold under motion effects for the noise reduction is locked behind the paywall lol. extremely helpful video anyways.
@itzMBO4 ай бұрын
Hey, would it be the same process for DLog-M on Mini 4 pro?
@DroneAddiction816 ай бұрын
Your noise reduction should come first....also you should have 2 CST's one at the very front that is dlog to davinci wide gamut/davinci intermediate and another CST at the end that is DWG/Davinci intermediate to rec 709 gamma 2.4 And you do all your grading in the middle of these....this allows you to work in the davinci color space which is much wider
@DannyGan6 ай бұрын
Thanks for your input, some of what you commented is somewhat true. 1. Noise reduction should only be in the front if you find it advantageous to render cache. I've tested the outcome for front and back, putting it at the back seems more non-destructive. Watch my tests here kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp3Vf4aYo6-Jm80si=cxF-vh6Y6o0B-i3y 2. You don't HAVE to use DWG all the time. This is a video more for beginners, so I don't see the need to jump into DWG. And DWG is not used because "it is a wider colour space". That is one of the characteriestics of DWG, not the end use of it. Because it is a wider colour space, it can cointain all other log colour spaces. But the main purpose of DWG is to apply the same adjustments to footage from multiple camera log profiles more conveniently by working in DWG.
@DroneAddiction816 ай бұрын
@DannyGan ok I guess that makes sense....I've just become so accustomed to working in DWG, but I guess it isn't really a law that has to be followed

Whats the difference between DJI D-Log and DJI DLogM ?
@klein82059 ай бұрын
The colors in D-log is much flatter than D-log M. D-log has more dynamic range than D-log M but it takes time and effort to color grade it than D-log M, it is also use by professional editors. Since D-log M is not that flatter which makes it good for beginners to color grade it. The third after D-log M is the D-Cinelike which is less flatter than D-log M. I prefer the D-Cinelike since it retains more color which makes it easier to color grade and it looks more vivid ans dreamy yet still looking realistic.
@AtortAerials4 ай бұрын
D Log M simpler to grade like they saying and if you don’t know how to you can make footage worse or unusable even play with both and see for yourself too.
