I went down a KZbin rabbit hole trying to find a clear and direct process to color correct & grade d-log video from the Mavic 3 Classic in DaVinci. I finally found this video, and I'm exceedingly thankful. It seems many YT creators are concerned with the comments more than the content, so they cover (and therefore themselves) every possible setting and combination of settings. And some just don't know what they're talking about. Additionally, this video doesn't even mention LUTs, again thankfully because I think the DJI LUTs are not good. Everyone says they're a good place to start from; nope, I disagree. The setting discussed in this video had better results than starting with any LUT I tried. Subscribed!

Adjusting contrast has a direct impact on saturation, so it makes sense to adjust saturation after you’ve dialed in your contrast

Hi. Great tutorial. All very clear and each step clearly spelled out - both setting up the Colour Space Transform and the actual grading. Just one thing though. I followed along editing a clip. Created all the nodes you describe but at the end something garish. Turns out only after I blacked out that initial Transform node, the last now in the series, that the monitor showed the nicely graded clip. Can't quite figure what's going on.

Hey, question for you, do I need to do step one if I'm using the officially dji action 4 LUT I'm new to this, currently editing my first bike ride using the DJI Action 4 I've overexposed the footage with the wrong settins profiles oops need to figure out how lower the brightness. I am shooting with Mavic Pro 3 Cine on D-log ProRes in 422 HQ, and I use 5.1K resolution at 25fps or 4k I noticed that when I tried to edit on DaVinci Resolve, my files are really slow, and I use a Mac m chip. Is it the format I use, or is it my Mac that's the problem? What settings are you using while working on DaVinci? And what output you put out for youtube work?

I"ve seen some videos where they bookend all of the color grading with two transform nodes. Basically DJI-Log -> Davinci Gamut -> color grading -> Davinci Gamut -> Rec709. I've tried this and my videos always seem blown out. Your way seems like a lot less overhead.
