One small enhancement that could be made is to provide some form of guidance or markers on the mini-map or compass when a user drops a pin on the map to mark a specific location. This would be helpful when flying to that location, as it would provide a visual reference to follow.

I'm going to have to say that the RC boots up a fair bit faster than before as well.. 34 seconds to full drone image.. Pretty sure that used to be a full minute or so before, but I never timed it.

On the rc2, go to profile, settings, about (make sure to select about, not the check for updates on the settings page) then check for updates. It's a little weird that they set it up that way imo.

Update after being on the DJI Forum, the release notes have been updated, Latest update for DJI RC controller has been updated as below; Date: 2024.04.17 DJI RC Remote Controller Firmware: v01.03.1400 DJI Fly App Android: v1.13.1 But haven't offered any suggestions how or why users of RC controller can't see any updates available from version 1.13.1 to 1.13.2 or 1.13.4, DJI admin on the forum told me as per release notes RC latest update IS 1.13.1, so I told her my RC controller updated from 1.13.2 to 1.13.4. Another question that asked was, when will the RC Controller get the very latest update 1.13.5, that wasn't answered either.

After I installing it I can no longer manually change the altitude while flying during return to home. I was able to do that before this new version.

@@GAVINHR There is nothing to grey out, that I'm aware of. When I push the stick up or down the drone stays at the same height when RTH. Before this update, pushing the stick up or down did change the height above ground during RTH. Maybe I used the wrong control, that' wouldn't surprise me. I'll test it again the next time I fly.

I have the Avata 2, it's amazing! But I am now wishing I picked the Mini Pro 4 (for my specific needs) for the cool features like follow mode or picking a target and flying around it automatically...and WAYPOINTS OMG... that would be awesome for what I do. I'm still happy with the Avata 2 cause I can do those things manually (or at least attempt them) and it's safer for my real estate interior fpv tours. I WILL eventually be getting the mini 4 as well

I’ve checked for updates on both my Air 3 and mini 4 pro. Both controllers and aircraft are showing that they are up to date. However this is not the current update and both are still showing ‘P’ mode. The good news is I’ve never experienced the slow boot up on either controller.

Same with my firmware updates, others have reported firmware updates for those drones but I have nothing myself, there should be a DJI fly app update for the controller that will fix the P mode however

Oh, I managed to figure it out. I've been going into "Profile", "Settings", "Firmware Update", then "Check for Firmware Updates" - which is already updated to the latest. The DJIFly app update is not here. Instead, on the RC2, go to "Profile", "Settings", and then scroll down to "About", and on the right side of the screen, you will see "Check for Updates". Press on that and the update should pop up. Then follow the instructions to download and install. All the best!

there is no new firmware, it is a dji fly app update, make sure your controller is connected to the internet / home wifi , click profile, then about, then check for updates

When booting my Dji RC to fly with my Mini3 pro. It will install and reboot and then again report that a new version is available and the process repeats.

This can happen sometimes, try restart the controller manually if not let me know I have a guide how to fix it using DJI assistant

@@GAVINHR I just spent 2 hrs on chat with dji. They had me reset the controller to factory settings after over an hour of other steps. None of it has helped as it prompts me to install the update which they said it should not be doing. I sent them videa and screen shots but as of this time they will get back with me and until then I just have to ignore the prompt by pick later. As soon as I do allow it I loose all logs and new ones are not added, and everytime I restart the controller it prompts me again but without a complete factory reset the logs and all flight records are lost and clicking on profile brings up a black screen.

Ran into the same issue... Factory reset, when u log back in whatever synced logs return... Then I was able to update the RC and drone............ If you REALLY want these logs you can plug RC into a computer and get them off.. But they should sync..

Yes, I have a video that shows how to do it, I would try updating the firmware via DJI assistant 2 then try update afterwards and see how it fors
