If it putts the weight over 250gr you need to fly in the A1 open subcategory, and have RID (Remote identification) activated on the drone aswell..
@amoktimeflies5 ай бұрын
Which country is that Bas? Because in the UK, if it puts the weight between 250 and 500g then you have to fly in the A2 Open subcategory, unless you hold the A2 CofC qualification, in which case you can fly in the A1 Open subcategory with no intentional overflight of people. Remote ID doesn’t apply in the UK yet! 😱🖖

**Journey of Light: Day to Night** With the Mini 4 Pro, let’s take flight, Waypoints set for day and night. From dawn’s embrace to dusk's delight, A seamless dance of fading light. In the morning's tender, golden rays, We map our path through nature’s maze. Each waypoint whispers where to go, Tracing the arc of sun's soft glow. As shadows stretch and twilight nears, We capture moments, calm and clear. Night Mode wakes, with magic’s touch, Transforming scenes we love so much. Day to night, a grand transition, Crafted with a precise vision. In Davinci’s realm, we weave our tale, With hues that shift, like a dream’s veil. For every glow and shadow cast, The Mini 4 Pro makes moments last. From vivid noon to starry skies, Its lens, a portal to our eyes. Through editing’s art, we bring to life, A journey void of daytime strife. The colors blend, the scenes unite, A symphony of dark and light. And though in UK skies we soar, A strobe ensures we see much more. Not just a law, but safety’s light, Guiding our craft through deepest night. So take to air, with heart and sight, Let waypoints guide your wondrous flight. From day’s bright start to night’s embrace, Discover beauty, space by space. Inspire, create, with every frame, Harness the power of DJI’s name. Let Mini 4 Pro be your guide, Through endless skies, horizons wide.

You can also program actions at the waypoints, it is in the waypoint itself, you can choose to do things like take photos and start and stop recording as well as adjusting the speed between individual waypoints. So you could set it to start recording at the first waypoint and stop recording at the last for example or to go and take photos at different waypoints. The Point Of Interest (POI) feature is useful too, you can set a point of interest and then set some waypoints to look at the point of interest, so the drone will go between waypoints whilst looking at the point of interest. You can do this manually by manually positioning the drone to look at it but the built in feature it could be useful for some scenarios. The reason the clips were slightly off could be to do with the positioning accuracy of the drone, positioning accuracy with GPS is only +-0.5 m, so worst case the position is a metre off between runs. It will also depend on how the drone goes between waypoints, whether it follows a route of intermediate waypoints or it just tries to get to the next waypoint in any way possible. It might be interesting to test it but with adding more waypoints in between to see if the followed route can get any more accurate.

Hi Amok, hope you are well. What you can do to save time lining up the clips is to put an adjustment clip on above track then put a grid in it, move the grid around until say you have the roundabout on both a vertical line and horizontal line, as the grid will show up an all tracks below it, when you one track where you want it then disable it and align the other track. Very interesting project which has been on my to-do list for ages. And I like your way of achieving it, so I'm going to nick it. The 4 second transition really sells the project. I also have a Mini 4 and edit in Resolve. However I've stopped using Dlog M because its not a very nice profile to edit with. Its not even a Log profile either as its just a regular REC709 profile which is a bugger to match with other cameras. I have learned that the Normal and HLG profiles are much more forgiving when editing and matching with my Panasonic cameras. I basically have my drone set to HLG as it has more dynamic range to play with.

Hey - thanks for the comment and as far as ‘nicking’ the idea goes - that’s what the vid is there for! 👍😁 Re. colour profiles - I had issues with 10bit until I upgraded from the free version of DR to studio. I use a pocket 3 for all of my non drone footage, so there’s less of a discrepancy in matching being ‘cousins’ and all 😉. Thanks for the tip on the HLG - I may well give that a go.. 🖖

@@amoktimeflies My mate has an Osmo Pocket 3. Shooting in HLG for his Osmo allows his to match shots with his Panasonic S5m2 and my drone. DLog M is awful to grade, for me at least. HLG is a Log profile and only needs a little bit of tweaking. The colours can be a little too saturated and easily tamed in the grade. I just wish that I could change the sensitivity levels of the Zebras on my drone when filming, as once you see them then there is no wiggle room. You've blown the highlights. The drone channel by Stewart and Alina has a great episode on HLG called "This is the best setting ever". It persuaded me to give HLG another go after staying away from it for years on my Panasonic cameras.

Hi there! Thanks for your great content. I've used the night mode last night for the first time and did a slow turn around in my neighborhood like you did. ISO 12800 with 1/30 second shutter speed was selected automatically by the night mode for a 4K 30fps and my altitude was around 65 meters. Found out that a lot of noise has been introduced in the video compared to yours and maybe that's because of the altitude. However, have you done more night flying since and are you still confident that the night mode is better than using manual settings?
@amoktimeflies4 ай бұрын
Hey Topper (you have your Father’s eyes 😂) I tend to fly at a fair height in my neighbourhood so as not to worry people. I do have another night video planned soon, so will try comparing some different settings though.. Thanks for the suggestion! 🖖

Great work. Your results came out amazing. I can't wait to try this feature on my Mini 4 Pro. Can you colour-grade the Night Mode video clip if recorded in 10-bit D-log M?? Or does it record it in normal colour? Thanks for sharing your video, great tutorial with some hilarity is good for the soul!!
@amoktimeflies6 ай бұрын
Night mode is normal colour grade because it's doing a WHOLE bunch of processing in real time for the picture, but obviously you can adjust if needed. Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😊🖖

hello my new friend full support to you my friend, I'm from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I am a drone pilot too. I use the DJI mini 2 and the Mini 4 Pro. however I managed to modify a triple blade propeller kit that I got from Amazon for around $20 Canadian dollars. and I need to get three of these kits along with two of the Master Airscrew Super Stealthy propeller blades from Amazon too. and I posted a video about it. do please take a look and leave me a comment if you have any questions for me. and yes it will put your drone over the 249 g weight...

Nope, GPS coordinates are always the same, regardless of how hoe the earth moves - GPS would be pretty useless if that was not the case and we wouldn't be able to use it for navigation.

I believe that night mode does turn up the ISO a lot, up to 12800 apparently (12800 ISO is only available in night mode, 6400 ISO max at 12 MP in normal mode and 3200 ISO max at 48 MP in normal mode) but it also applies some kind of denoising algorithm.

More trouble than it’s worth to be honest. You have to have a specific type of sim with its own contract + after a year (or maybe 2 - can’t remember) you also need to pay DJI a subscription. If we could fly BVLOS then I’d definitely consider getting one, but until then - I’ll just try to work around the flippin’ trees 😂 Thanks for watching! 🖖

@amoktimeflies5 ай бұрын
Link for the strobe is in the description. Depending on your drone you *might* be lucky. Otherwise unless you have the A2 CofC in the UK then you can fly a drone between 250g and 500g in the A1 Open Subcategory. I would recommend taking that anyway as it's just a very useful qualification and also allows you to fly commercially. All the best and thanks for watching! 🖖
