All I can say is Wow @ that transmission. Add a gimble and prop protector and landing gear ( not using the battery ) turn on cruise control and you got yourself a cinewoop.

Why would they pay him when they could simply copy elements of his design? China does what China does. You have to wonder how much of Connex they "borrowed" for their FPV Drone. Best friend's father-in-law worked in China for K&N Filters/Cummins Diesel and it was a constant battle to have their products manufactured and keep the factory owners from sharing/selling their IP/product design to other factories and interests in China to make a competing product. They truly feel that if they're "in business" with you, it's their option to make $$ from your design in any way they can.

How is that range even possible with 1 battery, I did a long range test today going 25mph in cruise control and managed a total distance of 5.7 miles before the battery died 3000ft away from home point. 4.4 miles was my first attempt and that came back with 36% battery left. We all know that once the drone hits around 15% it'll pretty much want to emergency land very quickly moment's after. Never mind I've just watched the whole video lol.

Great! I need this Antenna! Will order it to Indonesia. I realize my DJI FPV has much worse connection than my DJI Mini 2. I assumed because the Mini 2 has only one connection (RC) while the FPV has 2 (RC + Googles) and more data to transmit. Will test to set it to 2.4 GHz only, maybe it gets better also this way.

This is a directional antenna. You will achieve the highest performance from the antenna as long as you stay within the forward beam width. One you go out of the beam width, the antenna will still work however the bitrate will decrease as you fly further away from the beam width. I was able to fly 3000 feet behind me with no issues during my tests.

The extreme flight distance was achieved by utilizing FPVTEC Kaiju dual band patch antenna that operates on 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz frequencies. The Pilot was stationary standing up with a spotter at his side. There was no cars involved during the live testing of the antenna . The antenna is a high performance patch antenna USA manufactured by FPVTEC.

Hello, please could you tell how was the landing technique? Yesterday I flew the dji fpv 2.2 miles away, the flight was perfect at 100 feet of altitude and at 30 miles of speed. But at the moment of landing approximately 2 feet from the ground, it lost the signal and started the RTH automatically. They were moments of uncertainty because the process occurred repeatedly. My option was to stay on the spot and keep trying, until I was able to rise (myself) with the transmitter and that way it allowed me to land it. They were moments of uncertainty of truth! I assume that Brett helped hold the drone in his hand, since the video does not show the drone landing on the ground. I am interested in yours antennas. Thank you

When I am landing my 2 batteries are below 5% and the drone begins to land automatically, I have no choice to but to land. I have the same video issue as you - I lose my video the moment I land. Hopefully DJI will fix the issue in a future firmware update.

I see two problems with that: On the one hand it is not convenient to download the lipo below 20%, and on the other hand it seems to me that the lack of signal at ground level is not a problem that DJI can easily solve at those distances. . It would appear to be a problem of a physical nature with radio transmissions. So he would try to experiment with landing a little higher on the ground, such as on the hand of a helper. For a scientific job, I am needing to fly in a straight line at least 3.1 miles, and until I solve this issue it will be difficult.

I did not hold my hand in any position to land the drone. The DJI drone landed on the ground of the dry lake bed under its own power (about 5% of battery left, maybe less...) that is featured in the video. It was all done in one take.

The connection to the drone will increase but the antenna will be very big with 4 patch antennas. Keep in mind all 2.4Ghz patch antennas are much bigger than than a 5 ghz patch antenna.

Just stumbled upon the video / channel...appreciate the effort but this test is being done in an area with no chance of ANY interference. It's flat...literally flat. No geographic topology concerns for signal block or multipath. No homes or businesses with WiFi. The noise floor in that area is likely non-existant at -95dB. If it weren't for the battery limitations you would have likely been able to hit the mountain range. Go up off the front side of the Griffith Observatory hill and fly south and make a video of how far you go...LOL

Hi James flying over a metro area long distance is a FAA no no, but i hear what you are saying. The thing about patch antennas is the range generally will increase and so will the penetration power. I will perform tests behind concrete walls (bando sites) to show the increase in penetration power with this new antenna rather than the stock antennas.

And yet, when it’s used in every other real world example but those, they fail. The DJI FPV drone allows you to record onto the goggle, that also includes the prop noise. Test it see for yourself.

I am using a second 1100mah HV battery in parallel to get 22 minutes of flight time. I flew in normal mode at a constant 30 mph. If you rip on the throttle with this drone the battery depletes much quicker than if you fly super smooth.

@@cineskyrc2887 normal temp. They were in the house in a case or taken off the charger with in an HR prior. I always let them cool after use before charge and wait an HR after charge to use them .but this has happen since the first time used. They change only to 95% to 98%and I did all the correct charging and I charging when bought them because I have owned many many drones these are not new to me. .I am in Florida and fly either evening or early morn when around ,65-70 out but they come out of my house the temp is around 70 always. So average temp.

This antenna will work best in CE for Euros. Since the CE power is limited to 25Mw a high performance directional antenna will provide a better connection than the stock antennas.

I don't see the point of this video? You are literally in the desert there's nothing or no one around. It's an inaccurate test one drone out of 300,000 will be used this way everybody else is going to fly in an urban environment at the very least do a video like that flying in between trees through buildings and report on that let's see that 10 MI go down to two one

When I tested the Stock DJI antennas I was able to fly 5 miles in the same location. After 5 miles the stock antennas were too sketchy. With the Kaiju antenna I was able to increase the connection to 10 miles, double the distance. And the truth is this antenna can go farther than 10 miles but that is the farthest I can fly with the battery tech that we have today. If you use this antenna in an environment that requires better penetration (behind walls , trees, bando flying) there is no question that an aftermarket directional antenna works better than a stock omni- directional antenna.

It is illegal to fly a drone or any other radio control vessel above any inhabited area. It is an electro/ mechanical device that can fail at any time just like anything else of its caliber. Please fly safe and follow the rules so we all can enjoy this hobby we all love so much.

i bought this antenna about 3 weeks ago. YES they are better than stock, but on an urban setting they are only 50% better than stock with trees and 2 story houses. i get about 1.5 miles on stock antenna and about 3 miles on these antennas. that is me facing my drone at all times and you have to be real i mean real high like 800+ feet high if you fly 400 feet you will get interference and loose signal. comparing open space (like this video) vs urban trees & houses he gets 10 miles i would get 3 miles thats only 30%. i also took my dji fpv drone next to the george washington bridge NJ side and flew to NY side over the hudson river & as soon as i got to land and buildings the signal dropped neat the buildings.

@@raaah Great feedback. Your test are consistent with my tests. In the desert I was able to fly 4-5 miles with the stock antennas. With the Kaiju antenna I was able to go 10+ miles easy, Double the distance. In an Urban environment you were able to fly 1.5 miles with the stock antennas and 3 miles with the Kaiju antenna, Double the distance. You will double your signal at whatever power output you fly 25Mw -1200Mw CE VS FCC. Thanks for the feedback.
