They know fully well what they are doing , why would I have to buy a Motion Controller now with these also very Expensive Goggles to be able to fly my Mini3 Pro or my Mavic-3 with ? They could have done this Update to work with my RC Pro Controller if they wanted to but I guess this is just another Control Trick by DJI again , don't keep your fingers crossed on no future update for that to happen ! I guess this is to now get their Motion Controllers sold ! Or what ever !

You can set the goggles to control your field of view and not affect your direction. So you could look around and not change direction. Makes up for the narrow field of view.

Great video, Billy. When I bought the avata, it shipped with the MC1. When the MC2 came out, DJI sent me a voucher that entitled me to a discount on the MC2. I pulled the trigger last week and got the MC2 for nearly half price. Anticipate hooking up my classic and M3P to this.

I have it working with my DJI RC that shipped with the classic. Do all the connection steps, once you see video in your goggles, turn them off and take off like you would normally, then turn goggles on. You will get an error in the lower right corner, but has no effect on flight. Will not work with Motion 1 controller.

Good video. You can better your reveal shots by using head tracking. Stick forward up and forward as you slowly move your head down. works great.

You can use the rc1 just start with rc1 and then turn on the googles it is a workaround but works :)

You can use the regular controller. Connect the goggles, then connect your regular controller, then turn off the goggles, take off, and once in the air turn the goggles back on. There's a video that explains it better. I'll try to find it again.

@@billykyle it works, that's all. I was just trying to help out you and the other people who were saying they wish they could fly with the regular controller. I doubt DJI will ever officially support it because I believe the entire intent is just to funnel people until buying the Avata and then being both long-term GPS and FPV customers. They want to sell both the goggles AND the motion controller, for one because that's just more easy money right there, but then by selling both, the consumer has everything they need to fly the Avata - they've already crossed half of the cost threshold, now they just need to buy the drone itself. And then a few weeks from then, they'll be wanting to buy the regular FPV controller to really take full advantage of the Avata. So you see, if they allow people to just use the regular controller, they aren't getting them as close to that Avata purchase as it the people are forced to buy both the goggles and the controller.

I anxiously awaiting that answer as well. I have the Avata (very cool and thanks to Billy’s video in Vegas I bought it because of its crashworthiness) and although it’s very cool, I wished I had a 3 axis gimbal to use with the goggles. I told my wife I would certainly buy the Mini 3 Pro if it had that interface……and immediately purchased it when I learned it happened. I’m hoping the head tracking will work also, that would make an awesome drone. Maybe one day I’ll get the Mavic 3 pro too……that Billy is costing me a lot of money!!!! LOL

Billy, an upgrade to tether via USB the Remote Controller with the Goggles_2 would result in a higher signal gain, eliminate wireless pairing and no need for the antennae on the goggles.

Hey on the settings while your flying the Mavic 3 can you turn on the option in the goggles where you use your goggles so they adjust your drone camera in the direction you want to see, that way you can avoid the flicking and not worry about looking up high when you have the joystick up to gain altitude?

you can fly the mavic 3 with the goggles you just have to connect the controller, launch the drone then turn the goggles on once its hovering.

I get it but at the same time i feel this would be boring to fly thos way after a while. I also noticed you have to ve more conscious about your hand as the movements arent smooth. The gimble just amplfies the movement more.

No linking for me. Tried to use my Mavic 3 Cine with the new Integra goggles. Seems like the drone software update necessary to link has removed the ability of any controller (phone w/dji fly, goggles/RC Pro and mini 2 controller with phone) to see my drone. DJI told me after a couple of hours of troubleshooting to "Take it to the Apple Store/ because it is a problem with the controller." (Yes I saved a screenshot of that craziness). So I am waiting for a higher level call back from their support team or am stuck with mailing it in for the arduous task of having someone with some real knowledge who can fix this. If anyone reads this and has any fixes I would greatly appreciate the advice!! Thanks Billy for your great video review!

I am a little confused, he said he’s bummed he can’t use the goggles as a screen and use a regular remote to fly around? Isn’t that what he’s doing? Or will the goggles only work with the pro motion controller? I have a mavic 3 (non pro) and I normally use an iPad to fly. But in the sun it’s unusable. I was going to get the tripltek tablet, but with the Black Friday deals I can get the avata FPV bundle for way less than just that tablet and use the goggles 2 on my mavic and have the avata as basically a bonus free item. I’ve been wanting an avata for months now, I think I’m going to pull the trigger
