Absolutely incredible. Not just the drone. The sound design, pacing... all of it.

The ultimate demonstration of the futility of investing in the latest technology until you invest enough in yourself. This video, in addition to being beautiful, as of 07/10/2023 does not make one feel any quality deficiency worthy of consideration compared to so many videos around of Inspire 2 and Mavic 3 Pro Cine. Congratulations!

Ha. At first I thought this comment was disparaging but when I read it completely I realized what you were saying. It’s totally true. Don’t chase new tech. Learn how to shoot.

First, this is the best X5r footage I have seen to date! Also I would love to see how you graded these dots as well as know the lenses and color settings you used! A true cinematographer! Also great choice of music!
@AndreBetz8 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks! Shots were graded from cinema-dng raw files. The color settings are just by eye. No presets. I simply decreased saturation, swing a little blue into the mid range and recovered the highlights. Pretty simple stuff for Davinci Resolve. Helps to start with raw 4k files. I think this was all shot with the 15mm DJI lens.

Andre Betz absolutely fantastic man! I found your footage to be astonishing like I was watching a actual movie trailer! Also I wanted to know your thoughts on the new inspire 2!

Oh and I used a ND32 filter to get the lens to shoot at 2.8. Manual settings, ISO 100 and 1/50th of a second shutter.

I'm a little angry about the fact that I can't use the X5R camera on it. I'll be sticking with my I1 for a while. Too much of an investment. I don't need all the safety features. or the extra flying time. I had no problems shooting this stuff in 20 mph winds.
@dawsonboyle998 жыл бұрын
Andre Betz yes! Gotta love the 180! It's just something about your color grade that's so simple yet cinematic and as someone who loves color grading it blew my mind

@AlbaAdventures2 жыл бұрын
@@AndreBetz Yes. noticed the name of the lighthouse in the title - curious to know if the lighthouse had the same designer. We live in NYC - though sail in Casco Bay and in the Gulf of Maine in the summer - our kid more than us. This was really impressive footage and considering when you filmed it - the footage, image quality has lasted very well. We are such budget shooters here - and we at time suffer as a result; at times we amaze ourselves by what we pull off. Great stuff by the way.

Hello. The sound processing is very good! Where did you get the music and the very good winds? About an answer I would be very happy.
@AndreBetz7 жыл бұрын
The sound design is done from Sound Ideas and BBC library. Music is from The Revenant

@@AndreBetz oh ok, but i find it very difficult to fly and to set focus manualy how do you do it?

@@kristiansagmo9391 yes it isn’t easy, but with really wide lenses it’s pretty forgiving. Also I just edit out the parts that aren’t in focus.

@AndreBetz8 жыл бұрын
The cinema dng files are what the drone records. Those are the raw 4K files. They are huge. The footage for this little film was about 400 gigabytes. Davinci Resolve is the program that does the color correction.

Would you be interested in sending me a review on the drone, the camera on the drone, and what you think about the software?

What lens did you have on the x5r? I'd hate to buy another lens, but it all kind of depends on it doesn't it?
