Thanks! This really helped me understand the iOSD Mini features. It wasn't clear with the DJI website and such. What I really needed to know is if it has home position, altitude, and amp. Now I know it has everything I need except the amps.

yeah I said that wrong didn't I , its more of an attitude gauge for the quad. it shows what the quad is doing and not a horizon. I have not plugged it into the assistant yet but you might be able to change it like you said.

Pretty awesome review there. Any chance that you did this same flying review for the EzOSD? I'm looking to compare all of the top OSD's. I want to see them in action before I commit. I wish someone would do a head-to-head comparo. (EzOSD, iOSD, minimOSD)
@ThatHPIGUY11 жыл бұрын
you will use the video out from the H3 2D BEFORE the isod. just wire the signal wire and ground into the iosd then out to the video transmitter :)
@MarkovAllTrades11 жыл бұрын
Although the EZosd unit seemed messy, the thing it can do is link to an Antenna Tracker module on the ground to direct your antennas at your craft. Is the DJI iOSD mini possible to pass through the GSP data to the right audio channel of the video transmitter like the EZosd unit does?
@rasc-images11 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the good explanations. I will install mine tonight. Just one comment on the height. It is not showing the height above ground, as you said, but the height in relation to your take-off point. I guess this is important, as one might think he is 2m high and crashes, as it is just 2m higher that the tai-off and not above the actual ground.
@charlescoushaine11 жыл бұрын
Richard - I got talked into installing the new PCB into my Phantom for use with the H3-2D instead of the PMU v2, however, DJI never provided a CanBus port on this board. How can I now hook up this iOSD? I heard DJ was working on a cable, but haven't seen one offered yet. Can you help?

Hi, Just received a DJI IOSD mini. I have a Q? I'm running a Discovery Pro with which carries a few extra solder points e.g. Audio, Vid, Gnd. Instead of cutting and soldering extra wires to setup the iosd. Is there a short cut I can use by using these extra solder points! Or do I have to go into the side of the go-pro. Using the gimbal I'm a little tight on space.
@davidknowles221811 жыл бұрын
Your setup looks almost identical to mine - FatShark 600 TX, GoPro Hero3 Black, DJI IOSD, Naza M-V2. However, I've had 2 IOSD Mini units and with both the IOSD Mini LED flashes and there is no video transmitted at all (no GoPro image and no OSD image). The first IOSD Mini got very hot and the case melted so I returned it under warranty - the LED was flashing too so I assumed that this was a fault. The 2nd IOSD seems OK but has a flashing LED and no signal. Does yours flash or is the LED lit constantly (as the instructions suggest it should be when operating normally)? Any advice you can offer would be very gratefully received.
