Dji is our only hope. Every camera company drags ass for no good reason.

Most people can't exploit their cameras anyway. A new camera won't make you better films, only better skill will.

Small correction, when you were talking about DJI lidar. They have a separate product now (Focus Pro) that requires no gimbal, its the grip (doubles as a side grip), then you mount the lidar, and the motor.

Yes good point

It won’t be exclusively L mount. It’ll be a DL mount, which is their own mount, that will have various mount options like the 4D and their professional drone series. But I think It’ll be packaged with the L mount adapter.
@OasisExplorer14 күн бұрын
New mount doesn't't make any business sense since DJI is already part of the L mount alliance. Bringing an L mount camera means having access to already existing so many good lenses available from Leica, Lumix, Sigma, Samyang etc. Existing L mount camera users can consider the new DJI cameras as their B/C cams if they are priced reasonably. Bringing a new mount means developing and producing new lenses which itself is a tedious task and users in the existing ecosystem will probably not consider them.

@ DJI joining the L-Mount Alliance doesn’t mean they’re abandoning the DL mount. It wouldn’t make business sense for them to abandon the DL mount, which they developed specifically for their drones and cameras like the Ronin 4D. The DL mount has a short flange distance, making it highly versatile and allowing for the use of adapters to support various lens systems, giving users more options than just L-Mount lenses. Packaging the rumored camera with an L-Mount adapter would expand compatibility while preserving the adaptability and functionality of the DL mount for existing DJI users.

Thanks for saying DJI properly, I feel the same way anytime I hear sneaker heads refer to Nike Air Max as Air Mags 😂

It would be nice to get the 1 inch sensor from the pocket 3 in point and shoot with a zoom. But a new mirrorless will be fun as long as it doesn't overheat and isn't crazy expensive.
@errol318415 күн бұрын
I hope they put the 4D sensor in the new mirroless. 8K version please with the full stop or two of DR on all the sonys and blackmagics...except for the new 12K. It will force upgrades in lineups for other brands too.

After using the 4D, I have high hopes for a great DJI camera. I was impressed at how good the 4D is at just being a camera.

@@_tographer The largest impression I had was that I shot a slo-mo shot of a woman walking across frame at 50mm, and all I had to do was turn on auto focus and subject racking. It turned out great. It was "set and forget". Other items I liked: overall good impression of the sensor, DJI's Log to Rec709 lut is very capable, hand grip utility (grip, position, and buttons) was nice. The wireless video feed was wonderful. That, too, was "set and forget". Impressed by the wireless control as well. Without the gimbal, it would still be a nice camera. Looking forward to using it again.

Wireless video built right in to more cameras would be really nice to have

Listen I own a Ronin, 4-D. And it is undoubtedly one of the very best cameras I have ever used. It is better than an fx.Six f x nine, hell, hell, I'll say it is a better user experience. Then any black magic camera, or any Sony camera? Most definitely any canon camera.It is by far the best camera I have ever used outside of the alexas everything is intuitive. Nothing is in a place where it shouldn't be. Every button makes sense every function, right? Makes sense. Everything just works even recently. When I had to get it repaired their customer service 10 out of 10I got it repaired by them. Sent it over to them the first time. Got it back 2 weeks later. The camera bricked itself. You might say, oh my God, that's horrible, but I've had the same experience with other camera manufacturers. Sometimes s*** just happens. The real test of customer service is how the company handles it when s*** happens. Unlike Sony and most definitely, unlike canon, dji didn't try and fight me. The first repair was for free. The second repair was for free and the second repair. They gave me overnight shipping both ways. Expedited, the repair repair normally takes 5 to 10 days. At least that's the repair window. They stayed on their website. My s*** 2 days 2 working days. I will have got my camera back within seven days.Total, and that's with my camera being delayed today i love the way the camera looks. As in view the way the image looks, I love the way the camera looks too. By the way, the 4-D looks super cool in my opinion. I say all of this because I am super excited for dji to drop another camera because I'll buy it right away

DJI owns Hasselblad. If they can put that color science into a compact full frame camera that has great ergonomics I think it’ll be a hit. More importantly, I hope that it kicked the Japanese manufacturers in the ass and makes them actually innovate instead of purposefully crippling their cameras.

So you’re saying these cameras will never be sold in the US, or are you saying that when they eventually are, they’re going to come with a 100% tariffs? 😂
@amermeleitor16 күн бұрын
I think it could be a better idea to use the XCD mount and make it open to third party lenses manufacturers, only for lenses without shutter mechanism. So you could have from APSC to crop medium format (44x33mm) in the same mount

Tf am I gonna do with an L mount camera? The sole reason I don’t have a Leica is because they’re too expensive. That doesn’t change much when looking at just lenses.

Look at Lumix lenses, not Leica lenses. Plenty of normal priced L mount lenses.
