DJI Mavic 2 Zoom at Hidden Lake Lookout

I just got my new toy in the mail, so what better way to break it ny by going to my favorite hike up at Hidden Lake. This place was made for using the dollyzoom feature, and really what made me cancel the Mavic 2 Pro I ordered on day one. I know I need to get some ND filters soon like I had for the original Mavic Pro, but I couldn't let that stop me. Please consider subscribing for more videos like this.

Thanks for making/posting this awesome video! Great footage of a wonderful one day, out & back hike. I just did this hike September 2019. Loved it. Any chance you have footage from the saddle, between the peaks? (being the decision point to attack the final 300', or not).

What elevation did it say it was on?

The drone laws allow for 400ft above your starting point, which these shots were well below. The lookout is at 6900ft above sea level.

Awesome! What settings did you use to capture (auto/etc) and create video (bitrate, options, software)?

I use Filmora to make my videos. I shoot in standard H.264 MP4 format. I run a ND4 filter when shooting in sunny weather even though I know I could use a 8 or 16, but it is better than nothing. Otherwise I shoot in raw on my photos and fix them in Lightroom.

Were you using full zoom to compress the scenes to make the mountain look closer?

Yeah the dolly zoom function zooms fully automatically while it flies backwards

Are these the default camera settings? Or did you have to adjust? Any color grading?

All settings were in auto. The only thing I changed was to reverse the asteroid video so that it looked more asteroidy. I have ND filters on order to keep the shutter speed under control in the future. The raw video is a little choppier than Id like.
